For those of you wondering what my signature has said for the last while, Phantom is my newest (and first) 1v1 map. The idea for it was coming from me playing the LoZ:OOT on the Project64 emulator. If you haven't played it, I recommend you look up a rom for LoZ and download Project64. Or you could buy it on the N64. Or you could buy a Gamecube and LoZ Collectors. Either way, play it.

Anywho, for the map. The map was in specifically inspired by the Phantom Ganon fight. I loved the concept of Picture traveling combat. So, this placed my root of the map, the Teleporter. The teleporter is a replica of what is in the actual game. Camo was placed on the map for an element of being illusive, an easy way to evade chases. In addition, it acts as cover, if you try.

Plasma launcher? This was obvious. Blue balls of light that strike you down. What is there more to say? As well as the Concussion rifle. This was to bounce the player around. It is especially helpful in knocking people into the hole that the tree is in, the upper level.

Oh, on to aesthetics. Tree in the middle, yellow light, geometry, inclined walls, rainbow walls, beams of light, cones of light, rock curved walls... just epic.

Gameplay is pretty good. Plays brilliant for four player FFA- just enough combat, but not too much. One vs one is very casually paced, works for any type of player you are. Working on gametypes for it, atm.

    Anyway, the fun part, pictures.

Grey for all you blind people, lol.

Well, this is quite a gorgeous map. No FRL whatsoever and the aesthetics are outstanding. Gameplay was a bit rough around the edges, but that was with 2v2. I'm sure you'll fix the problems that have been stated by others and make this map a keeper. Let me know when you need more help testing, I'd be happy to help.

Thanks. Overall, I'm quite happy with the fact of having no Framerate, considering it uses most of the budget. I'm trying to improve gameplay for the most part. Only problem that might fester is the teleporter camping, or the shield doors.
I'll let you know when I need testing, too. Thanks, Eightbow.

After plying through both Ocarina and Wind Waker this summer again, I'd have to say this just pushed my zelda-ometer over the safe limit. I seriously tried to shoot you with my DMR lie it was a bow at one point. Anyway, this is quite an amazing design SS, I love the painting and can't help but make a horse noise every time I go through it. The plasma launcher is crazy and fun, but not unbalanced. Sometimes I don't like the fact that you can only get up via teleport or mancannon, but it works well enough that camping isn't a big issue. Hope we can both keep getting tests on our zelda-esque maps!

One more thing, Maybe a few more ranged weapons, I think there is only 1 DMR on the map.

As promised last night, here is my bump.

I <3 this map though. It actually makes the plasma launcher feel like a power weapon and sorta nerfs the concussion rifle. The painting is really cool except when you enter through the one side you see all the shields and stuff behind.

I can't wait to play more on this map in testing sessions and see it released.

There is 3 DMR's, but I'll have to place in more if players can't find them. Camping top floor shouldn't be that big of an issue unless it's 3v3 (friggin chaos.)

And you and that horse noise. Phantom ganon's horse never did anything, asides from gallop. Lol.

Trying to make the painting less mechanic looking on the inside. I'll probably place rocks around the inside.

Thanks, I hope testing goes well again.

I actually tested it earlier on this morning and it went quite well. There was no problem with power weapons being overpowered and framerate lag was kept to a minimum due to no z-fighting or discoing (is that a word?).
