How is the map looking so far?

    Good Afternoon Gents and welcome to my newest map teaser thread for my newest map Paralyze. This map is in its very early forging stages but the center "islands" and "A" Base are almost finished. I hope the main gametypes for the map are going to be along the lines of Assault, CTF, and slayer. I really hope it will also work for KoTH, too.

    And now, I present to you Paralyze.

    In screen #2:
    As long as there is no bump, nice.

    In screen #3:
    The single box on the top right looks like it could use some re-aligning. I can't tell for sure, because of the distance, but the two double boxes look like their dots are facing different directions, if they were the same, then the single box should have no trouble lining up similarly to the left double/single box interlock.

    In screen #4:
    The aesthetics are pretty much ruined once I look at those bridges as walls...Not that the interlocking is bad, it's just the look of it all together...Also, I noticed the boxes used as floor, next to those bridges/interlocked with that A sign, are double box opens, not particularly a big deal, but when people die, they may sometimes fly through them during death, causing some flustering. Like I said, not a big deal, but it's one of those "little things." Lastly, the same double box opens aren't lined up with the double/single box interlocked I mentioned in screen #3, is there a reason for that? If there was cover meant to be had, then there should have been more cover given then that little bit.

    Sorry if I seem critical, but you asked for my opinion, and this was my honest opinion.

    Hope you can take them to heart, and possibly use them to better your map.

    pretty much all that.

    its looking good so far, but i agree with Tex almost to the T.

    i think its just really empty. needs to be like twice as big. the other things i cant criticize cuz im not good at that stuff.

    The bridge that makes the wall that is resting on the top is all i can say that looks bad.. good job and keep up the good work with you map.

    That was posted on your visitor messages.

    I pretty much have to agree, the current look, is just...an eye sore...That's pretty much the biggest thing people are criticizing, the bridges, so turn them around, and try that out.

    But if I turn them, The other people on the other side of the bridges will see the "ugly" side. Maybe I should use something else like walls or boxes.

    Thoughts??

    I figured you would wind up blocking those sections up completely, but ya, walls or double boxes if not.

    looks... good. I can't really say anything about this, I'm sorry. The interlocking's not perfect, and so far it looks a bit boxy. Will it be an open map or close-quarters? Looks a bit open at the minute :)
