'kay, since Gopher was too damn lazy to post this, I did it for him. Me and him, after talking about some maps, were also talking about some neat Forge technique. He called it a Pallet Spring. Anyways, what it lead into was him going into Foundry and making it. Basically, what it does is super-compress the pallets into each other, to the point of where they start to merge into the ground and each other. However, neither of us expected this to happen, and we were both surprised when it did this: What happened was when we were maniacally destroying the pallets with grenades and bullets, it suddenly decided to launch the dumpster high enough to clear the walls of the spring. At the end of this, we both looked at each other in confusion. {Picture Space} Basically, the whole gist of this pallet spring idea was to make a mini cannon, or a nice little bouncy platform. More of a gimmick than anything else, but still neat in my opinion.
thats pretty cool! i guess some people could use this in their puzzle maps or something like that lol.
I only wish that I had been were it landed. It didn't go very high, but it probably would have killed me if I had gone there. It actually interlocked into the floor, since we put two dumpsters. However, this recipe only calls for one dumpster.
lol. New forge tricks are still being discovered. The pallet's ever growing list of uses just got longer.
Pallets are like MacGyver paper clips. Anyways, I also found while fooling around with Gopher that on Sandtrap, the mines can't go through solid objects. This may sound like a no-brainer, but that also means that if you're close to the edge, the mines try to blow up near, and mess up the platform, causing destructible level Ideas, anyone?
