    OZ

    OZ is a palace that stands isolated on top of a tall spire in the middle of Forge World. It's a small to medium size symmetrical map that is has 2 main levels (3 if you count the middle platform), and is set up for Slayer, Headhunter, Assault, CTF, Infection, and Oddball. This map is best played with 8 players, FFA or teams, but supports up to 16 players if you really want to get crazy.

    This map was designed to look big, beautiful, and play well, all while staying budget friendly. There's 3000+ budget left over, so the frame rate is good. Beta testing with 4 on 4 slayer was superb. The only real complaint was that players were using misleading hallways to fall to their deaths. I fixed that in this version. lol..

    I also color coded as many objects as I could (hard to see in the pics) and used the red and blue lights on each side to let you know what part of the map you're on at all times.

    There's one cool feature I'd like to mention that I tried to demonstrate a little in the pics. You can use the man canon on the top floor to shoot yourself across the map. While doing so, you can grab the energy sword from the middle catwalk while your airborne and equip it in enough time to kill the sniper at the sniper spawn on the opposite end of the map. lol..

    OZ was inspired by nothing. I was just playing around with coliseum windows one night and this is what it turned into. It reminded me of The Wizard of Oz when it was finished, so I called it OZ. I was told by a few people to submit this to MLG, but I don't know the specifications a map needs to qualify for MLG, so I'll have to look into that and make an MLG version later after more feedback.

    NOTE: If you really like the map and how I set it up, then please recommend it or click the like button. I need enough recommends and likes to keep me forging, or else I'll get bored forging and go play Skyrim, CoD, or BF3.

    2 Plasma Granades
    4 Frag Granades

    2 Health Packs (One at each base)

    If I play this map like 4v4 slayer or whatever, I'll get confused because the hallways lead to different areas such as the sniper spawn and other areas. I liked the idea of a palace theme to the map. You used the pre-built objects that bungie did. I think you used them pretty well. I also think that the gameplay of this map well be very good. I'm pretty impressed with your work my friend. You've done a great job of making it. - EpICx ReMiX XD

    Thanks. Yea, I tried to color code as many objects as I could (hard to see in the pics) and used the red and blue lights on each side that are easy to sense indoors during gameplay, but yea, first game on this map will get you lost fast. lol.. After a couple of games you'll know it by heart. I hope Halo 4's forge lets us change the colors of whole objects.

    I have a question... The map LOOKS good but how is framerste this map looks like it uses a lot of pieces such as the lights and windows that cause excessive frame rate... Did you notice any?

    The frame rate is good. There's still 3000 budget left over. I just made good use of the pieces to keep it that way. The coliseum windows make the map look huge and only cost 10 a piece. 4v4 slayer testing resulted in no frame rate issues. :)
