best they talk about it a bit in all their lists but depending on the player with a lot of the characters their position would change. I think that is one of the coolest aspects about the game itself. Genji probably being the biggest example.
Lost a game of Payload on attack because I was the only one willing to be tank or support. Neither of the two Widowmakers who weren't doing much objective work would switch to something else. Grrrrrr I need to play with people instead of solo searching.
I play with people and still get stuck with the shitty roles. Makes me angry bc I'm better as other roles than the people I play with are.
This... on top of it they don't want to learn other roles. I like playing tracer and mcree but rarely get a chance. Same for winston and junkrat. I am learning Mercy because of this though. --- Double Post Merged, Jun 6, 2016 --- What do you have it for. I need people to play with on xbone. I only really have one person to play with. It is nice when I do play with them because they prefer playing support only time is when he picks Zenyatta making me play a healer as well. You know you wouldn't have that issue if you were on console with me erupt. You know pacifist and I tend to want to take the shitty roles because we perform pretty well with them even if I don't like being Torbjorn. I cannot deny the fact that I am better at it than everyone I play with. Even the people who say they are good at it are often not very good and I have to switch for us to win. I am 30 and 7 playing torbjorn. Can't really deny my ability to put turrets in good spots and use his main and special at good times. Plus I am all about armor uptime as him.
I'm on X1 and tend to play support. So far everything but Mercy. Lucio, Zenyatta, and Symmetra are fun as hell. I'm trying to get the hang of Mei. And it's been a long time since I've played Tracer.
Tier lists are kinda stupid for Overwatch, I suggest ignoring them. Most people would rate Zenyatta (on PC) extremely low, but as soon as the enemy team is without a Widowmaker he becomes excellent. Each character is too situational for that stuff.
I totally agree. I was just posting it for the sake. If you read it all they even say depending on the players for a lot the characters you could place them higher. It is just more food for thought. For anyone who wants to do character experimenting. Lucio is definitely a top tier character if there were tiers he works for every team comp for the most part. I would say Mercy does as well. My buddy was watching a pro stream and he said the four biggies were Reinhardt, Mccree, Lucio, and Mercy. Ignoring something is not what you should do. Take it with a grain of salt. I don't agree with much of it other than lucio.
Lucio is one of my favorites and my top four heroes in playtime are all supports (Lucio > Mercy > Symmetra > Zenyatta). While it isn't mouse and keyboard level, if you practice Lucio's wall rides and implement them on console you can really mess with people because very few players on console expect them. It is always refreshing surprising perched snipers, hopping over Reinhardts, and solo contesting points because people just can't hit you.
