Outreach 1.0: A Lockout Recreation.. Outreach A Lockout Recreation.. Lockout was one of the most popular maps in Halo 2. Blackout was its spiritual successor but wasn't close to being exact. After seeing so many Lockout attempts which ended up more like Blackout, I decided to work my hardest to make a map that looks, plays, and feels as close to the original as possible. Starting weapons, explosives, grenades, jumps, and spawns from the original are included. Going up grav lift feels almost identical except that its a bit louder. If you play a gametype with a Jetpack, you can get above the map. Shoot the DMR at the explosives at Sniper 3 and the sniper will fly in the middle of the map, almost always in your hands. I worked on this map for over two weeks with almost no rest until it felt like the original and I must tell you that I am proud of my accomplishment.
I feel your pain on the determination to get a recreation correct. I too stayed up until 6am everyday to goto work at 10am just to get my Narrows remake correct. It's still always evolving also. I must say your map looks amazing and I love it's accuracy. It's a great feeling when you can throw a grenade the same way on a remake the way you would on an original map and have it land in the same place.
Your words have given me inspiration to remake a map! This map looks really great. I never really played on the original Lockout but I have seen images and walkthroughs of the map. The location for your map is perfect. Thats all I can really say though because you only have 1 image. Ill download and check it out but if you could supply maybe 3 or 4 more screenshots that would be great.

This looks really, really good. Are there framerate issue with this one? every "good" version of lockout is unplayable IMO due to framerate lag.
I have tested this map with many different members from my gaming community and I have not gotten much framerate lag at all. I made sure not many things on the map shimmer to prevent that.
