I need some help with GIMP 2. I'm working on a sig and have the background set. I have also chosen the render. But whenever I paste the render onto the background, the background turns white. I know this is because my render is bigger then the entire section, including the white part of the image. But is there any easy way to get rid of this 'white outline?' It is annoying me, because I only have one transparency tool, which is a brush and it occasionally runs over my render. Any way to let me me fill it in using the bucket tool? Or atleast a different, easier way? EDIT:I got it finished, and it was a hassle, it's in my sig right now. After all the filters, it came out pretty good.. It looks like I might have used a few to many though. What do you think? Also: Move to Off Topic please. I also still want to know how to fix the problem.. MY first one made using Photoshop:
Re: GIMP help? Why move to off topic? I like it. What exactly was the problem? Can you explain again? How did you get around it?
Re: GIMP help? Well, honestly, I had it moved to offtopic because my sig was finished. I got around it using the transparency tool. I was making the render transparent so you could see the background, but it was a hassle.. Not really the render, but stuff around it, just extra, white stuff... I had to use a brush. Anyway, Now I have photoshop, so no need to worry about it.
Re: GIMP help? Dont look at me. that didnt sound suspisious did it? I love your new sig i made you on your computer orange.
Re: GIMP help? its cuz the background prolly wasnt cut out, use the magic wand i think it is to choose the white then delete it, to make it merge a bit better just set the opacity lower...
Re: GIMP help? Yes, exactly, but GIMP had no magic wand... anyways, I edited another sig into the 1st post. The kirby one I have now was made by penguin. But what do you think about mine?
Lol, its only fair to say you are new at photoshop, and trying different tutorials, and combining tutorials, will only make you better. Dont Hate, its how we all learned.
Thanks guys, is there any thing really bad/good about my sigs? I think they look good, but that may be because they're mine.. what do you guys think?
