    Hey forgers! I just wanted to throw my map up here and get some feedback.

    Name: Onslaught
    Type: Invasion
    Authors: Daverian and XChumak
    NOTE: Our gametype (supplied in my fileshare) is required in order for this map to work properly.

    A video is also provided showing 1v1. While this of course isn't the optimum way to play this map, it was done to focus on showing the map and its elements instead of making you flip between 12 different player views.

    We submitted this map back for the Forgetacular Contest and obviously we did not win, but are still proud of the map and what we were able to do with it. Some of the things in here we have not seen done by the forging community (when we submitted the map at least, I haven't been keeping up with anything lately) and are excited to get some feedback from it. Again, the gametype is required to get it to work! We were disappointed that after submitting for the contest, we had logged some map downloads but NO gametype downloads when it is crucial for the level to function properly.

    We tried to balance things properly to try and weed out spawn killing, although there are still some issues depending on how aggressive players attempt to be at doing these things. Also, we have shooting killballs that sometimes get stuck. Sometimes they work perfectly and other times not. We believe this is an issue with the spawning system. Any forgers out there know that you might put something at 20 seconds to appear, but it will sometimes appear in 15 and sometimes appear in 25. It isn't always perfect.

    Another issue is that we have assault as the phase 3 objective. We like the fact that we set the bomb to never reset, but the problem is that if it is blown off a cliff and into a killzone it will also not reset either. This is a bug that exists and has never been addressed for forging needs. Bungie did fix it for their Invasion map Breakpoint, but even though you can copy the gametype there, you cannot change the order of the phase objectives and therefore it does not work with our map. Please fix this bungie!

    Anyway, that's it for now. We would love to hear feedback. We pretty much became forgemasters after creating this map - maybe not game design masters, but definitely proficient with the tools provided. A lot of great ideas that we had weren't used...and we haven't seen the community do some of those yet either. I plan on posting those sometime in the future with sample videos.
