Just experimenting with some simple effects on a photo I took of my friend while skating. It was taken with my iPhone, so it's made as an iPhone wallpaper. I didn't do much to them, just looking for advice on what looks better, I was trying to go for the look of older, vintage/70's skate photos/videos. I'm not great at editing, so don't impale me with comments of failure. So which looks the best for what I'm going for? Edit 1: Edit 2: Edit 3: Stock: Spoiler
The borders are too pixelated, the first image is the best, the second two are overexposed. Try and find a better border if possible for the first one. Good effort though.
Yeah I wasn't sure how the second two were going to compare to the first, I wanted to give it a vintage feel but I'm not sure it worked too well on the second and third.
They look too... crisp to be vintage. Usually vintage photos are a little more out of focus and grainy. I'd say add a very slight blur effect and a little bit of graininess, but don't go nuts. Kinda like this. Apologies for the crudeness of the photo, but it's the only decent one I could find to illustrate my point better. EDIT: Ok, found a better one. Not sure how in-depth you're looking to go with this, but note the creases on the image too, that would make it look a little more authentic.
