As far as I know professional machinima makers don't even charge money (for one reason you can't... this is why ) and no matter how perfect your video is no sane person would pay 1600 MS points, I doubt even 800. im sorry to say but If you bought a capture card hoping that you would get money for producing videos, it most likely will never happen. And I seriously doubt that Rusty would pay $20 for his clips to be recorded, also, Quite a few people have capture cards (including myself), and none of the people i know who have them will charge money for something to be captured or edited. If some one needed something recorded or edited I would be fine doing it for them.
What Microsoft has created only applies to the individual. Not the group. The TOS and rules of Forge Hub do not prohibit it, all though they will get in trouble with Microsoft.

If you're going for cheap I'd go for the Dazzle 90... It's 80 bucks and the best deal... Anything cheaper is a very bad capture card.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy a capture card cheaper then $60 if I were you. Although, the cheap ones do work (one of my friends bought a cheap one)... kinda.

Actors as in voice actors or? I have some ideas for things, but have no means of recording besides my computer and theatre. Well, I guess you don't even need a capture card with theatre and a computer mic, you just do the stuff and get it in theatre, then do the voices with your computer mic and edit them together. That is, if you can download the theatre videos to your computer.
Can't... otherwise you would see machinimas coming out left and right. But, voice actors, in game actors, both, w/e.
My opinion on the matter, I don't have a capture card or proper video editing software. I also do no have the skills to make this video stuff, I'm sort of computer illerterate. Forge has bought this equipment and is taking the time to record and edit a video for me so that I do not have to take the time or money to mak my own. Why shouldn't he be paid for services rendered? If I have a grill and make burgers for free, then will I not get spammed by everyone? I paid for the grill, and the food stuffs in order to make the burgers, not to mention the fact that I spent the time to make them. Also I needed to learn the skills to make really great burgers I'll stay true to my word, I am going to give 1600 ms pts for a video of all my fileshare moments which is a lot. I personally want to make my own montage, but if they want to make a montage for free then kudos to them.

You can actually... GeeVeeGrab, but its annoying to use and it takes forever to get you video back. but its free (or at least is for now).
It's down 90% of the time, you can only upload 1 clip at a time, and they've been writing the final code for the past 2 months. Not worth it.
