Eh, I don't think we'll be able to break out. If we can, it would be awesome, but we'd probably die as soon as we got out anyway.

If Orbital's escalator works, there will be many times taunting game types where the fat kid cannot get up the escalator.

Now that's teamwork. The fatty can't get up the escalator! Push him! And that's also another good idea. i could imagine playing Fat kid on Orbital.

Where are you getting this idea from? Is there something that I'm missing, because I can't see anything that looks like an elevator or an escalator.

^^Holy Crap, that is awesome! Looks like I'll be shelling out $60 for three maps after all...

I'm thinking orbital is going to be a lot like ghost town, it will have some cool objects but the map geometry will render it unforgable. i think assembly has more potential. though i can see a good conquest map coming out of orbital.

My image of Orbital's overview wasn't too far off, except it looks like I under estimated its size by quite a bit!

???? orbital has plenty of flat floors/walls, whereas assembly is a pretty open map, you have your idea's mixed up buddy.

I think the thing about orbital is that using forge, we will be able to make lots of great conquest maps. It probably won't be bad for some tactical CTF maps either. I'm seeing some good maps made on it.

He means that Ghost Town and Orbital will have limited forging possibilities because of the existing map geometry.
We haven't seen many good maps on GT because you've either got to build your map around the default structures, or encorporate them in to your design.
At most on maps like Ghost Town, Cold Storage and maybe Orbital, you can add a few walls or boxes but compared to Sandbox or Foundry, as far as forging is concerned, they're fairly limited.

That doesn't stop them from being fun maps though.

    now and again greatness

perhaps you are somewhat correct, but then again, every now and again someone with extraordinary skills will come in and makes a good map out of it, like the conquest map Cabbage Patch, what i'm getting at is that someone outhere can still turn a near unforgable map into something fun and great.

Is it just me or does Assembly (in a way) remind you or Backwash? Like the main structure kind looks like a different version of it and it is a small circular map.

It didn't at first but now that you mention it, I can sort of see it in the overview pic. I just checked out some screenshots of both maps, they do look similar, perhaps they came from the same idea bucket or had the same people working on them.

I'm still trying to figure out the scale and size of Orbital, cause they keep saying it's close quarters in doors but I've seen multiple vehicles and wide open rooms...

It seems pretty big to me. Definitely one of the smaller maps but it's no Midship.

I remember a long time ago in a weekly update before assembly pictures were released they said orbital will play well for big team battle and it is like an indoor vehicle map. I am assuming that orbital is going to be pretty large.

Now that you mention it it actually does. But I wouldn't say it is on purpose.

I'm not exactly up to date with gametypes. Does Social BTB have objective in it? I know Team Objective is only 4 on 4, so if it's a big team map, that wouldn't be enough people. Does Squad Battle have BTB? The first few weeks we'll have the whole Mythic Playlist though.

I see it being a little smaller than Rat's Nest. (Which in a way) once again it looks similar. If you really look closely a lot of the stuff is similar.
