I'd like to see that idea work, Spartan. Could be something like that in Recon coming out. You never know. Also, I would prolly classify this as spam. He didn't even read the post or any below it. If he had, it would have been clear that this was posted in the wrong forum category and that it is not a map (just an idea). Infraction much?!
Here is my vision. In one of the bases of avalanche a person spawns inside of a recreated drop pod. Then have been sent here to clear a landing site from flood. The player spawns on top of a custom powerup that deletes their sheilds. This won't matter it just recreates the feeling of a real crash. After the custom powerup wears off and you regain speed/health you must rummage through any weapons to find the shotgun (preferably) Or any other weapon of value. (mostly just a pile off ARs and BRs. in 25 second the flood will come swinging around the corner. It is up to the ODST to fight the first wave off. If they survive the second player will come to throw them a gravity lift. I can explain what I want in a picture but it will require time. Also I have RROD so I will just start working on the gametype settings. Be prepared for more info when it comes. (Soon) Just make sure that nobody except me and my partner use this idea. it seems rather original so map theft will be obvious.
I don't really understand that idea. why do they need a grav lift? wouldn't it be better if the guy that landed was like master chief, and the odst's would all drop 45-60 sec into the game? then it would be like a late delivery. though i do like the orginality you put into it, making it an ODST-infection hybrid. perhaps that could be another map to make, and the odst's would all drop in different places. then, while the ones closest to some base would be gathering there and readying for the zombies to arrive, a few would be driving around and rallying the others before they were killed. this could make gameply interestin, as you would have to rally at a base and use teamwork to survive. then after all are rallied at the base, they would have to work together to unblock parts of the base, all leading up to a big drawbridge, which, when activated, leads back to the odst ship. then they would defend the ship from the zombies, until the zombies found a way in through a secret hole somewhere, and killed the odsts. or the time limit would run out, and the odst ship would "take off", thus the odst's win.

Too me this seems like it will be a really great Idea, I would be prepared to try this, but I am working on to many maps, but good luck with the idea!
