ODST Face Off!!! This map took around 3 hours to forge so hopefully it is a success. I dont understand how 3 hours is enough to brag about (i know not bragging, but you know, "it took me 3 hours so hopefully its a success") But i'll move on to the map. I dislike the map as a whole, you can easily camp in sniper towers (if you managed to control both, you only need to watch your back and you'll win the round) ON THE WHOLE my general rule is make sure every room has 2 ways in and out (i do not know about the veteran forgers, but oh well) Move the hogs also, they look stupid up there (cruel to be kind) and it will look stupid driving them off, if there was a ramp or something then maybe, but the current look is... unprofessional... From what i can tell, the bunker has maulers (however they may be pistols) and turrets, you have grouped the weapons together and this is bad, ditch the 2 "H" things, and build other buildings, to allow gameplay to rotate and become unpredictable. I hope that helped, it looks good for a V1 though. Needs an overhaul though
it is not easy to camp in the 2 towers as they are far apart and in 8v8 games you will die if u just run to the other tower. the 2 h things are there because otherwize the map is 2 open and snipers can hit the whole map. if u had actually played the map before commenting you would know this. the wepons are close together because that way u have to travel far if u want ammo and the maulers are there incause u need short range but are not as good in combat as u think due to snipers smgs and cars. also if u even watched the video thats linked you would notice that in many caces the snipers get assasinated without even seeing the other team --- also i forgot to mention when u said ''Move the hogs also, they look stupid up there (cruel to be kind) and it will look stupid driving them off, if there was a ramp or something then maybe, but the current look is... unprofessional...'' What the hell did u mean by that?? one u are on the actual map u cant see the cars unless u go in a sniper tower and even then your main concern is sniping the person in the car.. also in most games it doesnt even stay there for long as people drive it off to give there team the advantage.
The video didn't show much of gameplay flow, it was just showing a guy being killed then it changed to another clip of the same thing. And it does in fact seem easy to when if you do control both snipe towers and just listen to that man cannon sound when someone is obviously coming up. You can keep those 'H' things but still it's still ODST slayer and the sniper can see vastly over the area even with that bit of cover that it does give. Add more cover and I guess more mauler ammo can be placed within those hopefully new created buildings.... Lastly 'The Moran' never said that you can snipe the Warthog driver/passengers from the ground, but needing to drive off such a huge height. Why have the Warthogs up there? Why not behind the base? Why the risk of landing from such a great height and landing upside down and wasting time to flip it back over? It's like if there were Warthogs on top of the base towers in Valhalla and just a teleport to pop you up there. It looks silly.
I agree with benjimino, the wharthogs up on top is a strange idea. However for three hours of forging (idk if this is supposed to be a good thing or bad thing) this map looks like a good first try. U should probably add another entrance to the snipe towers. Seems like a sniper could just no scope u/magnum u when u come up the lift. And all the weapons in one place is pretty risky...
