Hello there, there must be tons of cyber cracks running around here, to I thought, perhaps you can help me with a little problem of mine. Ever since 2-3 months ago I have a very odd lag or delay. It's not the classic lag where you wobble around for a bit. From my perspective everything seems just fine but then the game says "haaa, fooled ya". Well, perhaps it's best explained with some recordings: http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/HerrMittmann/video/33540998 http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/HerrMittmann/video/35571997 http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/HerrMittmann/video/33740728 This happens every 10-15min for just some seconds. I haven't changed anything with my connection and before that I was able to play without any issues. So has anyone ever experienced something similar and has some ideas how to troubleshoot it? I was ignoring it for a while, but meanwhile it get's pretty annoying...
I would guess that it has something to do with the consistency of your ping when going outside of your house. I had this happen and the Cable co had to come and replace some external wiring to my house (should be free if they are treating your right) Do this in a command prompt: type: Ping www.google.com -n 30 It will run 30 pings against google, and you will see results. If the number of ms for the return to occur is relatively the same, then this is not your problem. If there are occasional ones where the ping raises a lot then goes back to what you see is "normal" for your connection, then it is at least part of the issue. You can update everything in your house, but the wiring outside could be causing it, ultimately. Also, this can just suddenly appear or when a new neighbor gets cable installed, which I suspect was the case for me. GL!
