I love the gameplay on Anchor 9, when not doing objective gametypes. Breakpoint plays nicely but is still very slow on 6v6 sometimes. Lots of camping spots on this map. I didn't play on Tempest, just looked through the forging palette and floated around a bit. Needless to say, I was underwhelmed. The boundaries are VERY unforgiving. I wanted to be able to do some interesting things around the large structures. The also didn't seem to want anyone ****ing around with the water this time. A few of those items I would love to see made optional in the original forgeworld. Like, you go into the Advanced menu of the Man Cannons and choose model. The new rocks are nice along with the driftwood. Really, though, there was nothing new to play with. And Revenant wasn't in the vehicle list... what?
Break Point is way too huge to play the full map at once. These are the types of maps where speed should be turned up to speed up the action.
Really? seems perfectly fine to me, had a game of elite slayer on it in the playlist and it was awesome, banshees go over the ridge and bomb, ghosts go through the back tunnel, wraiths go across bridge, people go and pwn some vehicles and profit, honestly there isn't really anything bad about the map other than its just about the only thing people vote for and I want to play ctf on tempest.
Since we are almost all forgers, I feel this should be pointed out to those who are in the process of making your own canvases. There is an invisible flag stand on tempest that seems impossible to delete. It is set up for the rally gametype. If interested, I can try to approximate the coordinates of it tomorrow.
are you sure its invisible? there are some flags stands underneath the water in the creek, and some of the others are placed 3/4 of the way into the ground and hard to notice.
I have reached the $7500 budget, and have every other object accounted for (I triple and quadruple checked the list). When gone into a custom rally game, the checkpoint shows up perfectly, which is how I found the location, but in forge it appears to be under the actual ground. There are no portions of it sticking out of the ground, I even had someone else with me that couldn't see it either.
That would explain why I have 49/50 available and can't seem to find the last one. But Titmar has a blank canvas so it shouldn't be impossible..
Wouldn't the "delete all" function remove them all? If there is still one remaining after that, then I don't know what to say.
As long as you can either incorporate that checkpoint into a rally map, or not forge a rally map, it shouldn't be an issue. I doubt someone's going to use every single objective item on Tempest.
I like the maps for the most part. There was a spawn on anchor 9 that points off the ledge and a few of my buddies took a dive. Other than that I haven't seen any real issues. Breakpoint is pretty big and I like it like that. There seem to be a lot of spaces that I don't think will ever get used. Like the catwalk under one of the bridges and the multiple levels in both buildings. It seems pretty vehicle heavy. The spawns on the banshees and the wraith seem pretty short, but I haven't checked to be sure. All in all i like it.
Don't know my opinion just yet, I need a couple dozen more games to figure that out. Killzones are disappointing but we all knew that Forge World would be the true one and only Forge map. It's been almost 3 months, maybe I can finally get to play a game of Stockpile.
So far Im a huge fan of Tempest for objective playlist. I like dmr playlist on anchor 9 and Breakpoint due to the spartan laser!!!!!!!!!!!!! all in all I wasnt let down by this dlc. Could have used a new place to forge properly though that would have made it even better.
I think it's because objects of different labels won't be grouped together in the 'delete all' process? Try creating a hill marker with the rally point label and then do delete all.
Tried and failed. I have a theory that you can only delete objects on the new maps with the delete all function if you select it from a weapon that was already placed. If that is indeed true, this flag stand might be deletable. I might restart my canvas and try that, but looking for things in forge mode makes me dizzy.
It sounds like, to me, that a member should scrape the map clean and then upload it here as a canvas, to be stickied for community use.
In H3, this wouldn't have been an issue. Now, we can't change the original author of a map. Whoever uploaded the canvas would be credited as the author of every map created on that canvas.
What Angel said. Bungie really should've included a blanked version of Tempest in the map pack. But since we don't have one, someone ought to post the most difficult-to-find objects in this thread or another one, so people searching in vain can more easily find them. I'm going to be creating my own blank tonight and judging by the hard time a couple of my friends were having with it last night, I'm not looking forward to it.
Unrelated to the last couple of posts: I'd REALLY rather be able to forge in Breakpoint. So much more open space, less boundaries and kill zones... so many spots that could be integrated into a custom map. Even the pit under the bridge goes pretty deep before you meet mister killzone.
