I recently recieved my friends old xbox and a few games for the next few weeks and i started forging on halo reach. I got really into it and looked up forge maps on google and youtube and reache forgehub eventually. Looking around I want to share my maps and remakes with everyone except i dont have xbox live and i dont think i can get it. Is there a way to showcase my maps onto here without it?

You can show progress as a preview thread in Reach Forge Discussion, and maybe show off the finished product in your blog, but with no xbox live there is no way for other people to download. Hopefully this doesn't discourage you from forging.

Well you could get some screen capture cords and/or software for HD photos but for people to actually download and play your maps you will need to buy Xbox live gold or find someone who is willing to put your maps on there File share.

    Hmm...

If you have a usb stick, and a friend with xbox live, you could perhaps go to his house, set up your xbox's with system link and play the map. He can then go into his recent history and save it, put it in his fileshare, and you could use his fileshare as the download spot.

Otherwise, you could use a usb stick, and using your laptop and an extraction program for the usb, you could change the ID on the map to the ID of his profile, give the usb stick to him, and he could then upload it to his fileshare.

The second option is probably the most difficult, and hell I don't even know if it's allowed.

I wonder if they are still doing that 2 dollar 2 month thing...

Do you have an internet connection and a way to transfer it to ur xbox? (Ethernet cable, Adapter, etc.)

If so, then sign up for a free live account. I think you can still upload your maps to us, and you can share it, but you won't be able to play it with others over xbox live. You need Live Gold for that. They usually do some kind of good deal for live, like half off for a year, or a dollar a month, but yeah you can use the free one if you want to upload stuff.

Believe it or not, you need Gold to use your fileshare, anyway. :/
