When I got on Reach today I was immediately disconnected from xbox live, and my rank was a recruit, my armor was gone. But I was able to re-connect right away, and my rank and everything came back. I went to go see if I still had everything, and I didn't have any user made maps, or any local screenshots. I still have campaign progress, but I'm not sure about commendations and theater films. Does anyone know what happened or how I can get my maps and screenshots back?
Try signing out and signing back in. This happens to me from time to time when I haven't played in a while.
i had all my screenshots disappear one day, for no reason, after a particularly laggy match. Had to restart my xbox
Commendations are only available for Live players, not local, so they'll be ok. Did things return after restarting your Xbox? Each screenshot, map, film and gametype is saved as a separate item on your hard drive, so they should be there because I doubt being unable to connect to XBL would be a reason for you Xbox to delete everything! Its probably a similar problem to when I get 2 of every item. I just sign out, sign back in. I did loose my Campaign progress in Reach, not as bad as when I lost in Halo 3 though because that locked all of the armour permutations (the campaign specific ones)
