Alright, so I get off my xbox for several hours, and now, when I got back on, I cannot connect to live. I thought it might be down again, but no one else was having an issue. So, I ran a Live Test, and it says my IP failed. I am not a tech savy person, so I restart my router, try again, nothing. I have no idea why it is doing this, or how I can fix it, halp?

I had that too, i called comcast and luckily there was no hold today.
You need to type in Http://*your IP address*
then when the sign in pops up the code for comcast is
    Name: Comcast.
    Pass: 1234
Then click on internet options and it will show you your WEP key, enter that into the Xbox again and it should straighten everything out

That was for COMCAST only, I'm sure their similar however.

Thanks, however, I tried it and it didn't work. I got this message on Firefox, and Explorer just said I couldn't access it.

"Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection."

What is your ISP? What is the type of router you are using?
I've had some experience with dealing with non-connection problems if it comes down to router problems.

Okay, here's what I want you to do.

Go into Command Prompt and type in, carefully:
    Code:
    ipconfig /all
Now when you're done with that, press enter. A bunch of code will appear. You don't need to decipher it; instead, look for this specific string.
    Code:
    Default Gateway
On the line next to this, your router's IP Address should appear.

Now type in this address into your web browser, and see if it works.

I would try unplugging power from both the router and the modem and let them sit for 5-10 mins. Then plug the power in and see if it works. Sometimes connections get screwy if you don't do both.

it probably has to do with some settings, not resetting the power.

I typed it in, same thing as before, but perhaps I am doing it wrong. However, this morning I guess it fixed itself, cause I can access Live again. don't know what happened, but in the future, I'll keep what you guys have said in mind (and I'll message you Nemi if I need additional tips)

    I tried that multiple times.
