if lots of people coordinate trying to enforce a culture, it is easier for everyone. I've learned this on other games like racing sims, where admitedly, there are fewer kids playing, unlike FPS games. but, especially in customs, where you can "choose your own adventure", all participants of a match should respect what the host is asking and try to follow their lead. another thing that annoys me, is participants joining a room that says "swat" as gametype, and then start asking the host to play infection next...
i'm considering making game types with names that le tpeople know what the room is, like "FFA SLAYER - ONLY" or "SWAT Forge Maps ONLY"... worth a try.
I use the BIG CTF TEAM game type only. But what I did I renamed the game type to UBA XTREME CLASSIC CTF. That lets everyone know what type of server they are logging into. Now also to make sure I dont get any other teams on my server other than Red Or Blue. I have a MICKEY MOUSE fix for that. I have a prefab called "kill spawn" what that does is make sure if anybody that logs on the server in any other color other than red of blue They get instantly killed over and over again till they switch to a team red or blue. All you do is put the prefab just outside the map and out a instant kill barrier over teams 3 to 8. Or you can put outside of the map and use the timed kill. I prefer the instant kill it get their attention real fast lol.
I placed this pre-fab in my map, which I"m nearly ready to start playtesting, with the hopes that I can force everyone to RvB. However, I keep choosing team yellow and always spawn safely in the map on a neutral or team 1 or 2 spawn... what gives? The initial spawns are marked to either team 1 or 2, and all of the neutral initials are set to only be FFA. All of the neutral respawns are inside a respawn volume set for either team 1 or 2, and I've also tried setting these two respawn volumes to "affect opposing teams", thinking that would keep opposing teams from spawning there, like a negative spawn zone for them. In general, I need some resources to read about how to set up spawning. Please point! Thanks, (UPDATE - I fixed the issue with inital spawns. I found one with no label, and gave it the FFA Include. I also added game labels to the 3-8 initials outside the map in the kill zone. HOWEVER, there is still the issue of respawn points allowing 3-8 to use them, even though they are inside a red or blue respawn zone. Please advise on this point!)
Your Correct! It is a feeble attempt to get people to switch teams. As for kicking asshats off the server, all they have to do when the game is over then leave the lobby and when a new game starts the asshats return and start their racists remarks and start creating hate and discontent. They know you can't kick them in game! It don't need the aggravation. It's not worth the aggravation to try to kick people asshats off the server when you CANNOT KICK PEOPLE IN GAME PERIOD! Like you can with other games. I guess it is too much to ask for since I am a PC use only. I could care less about console game systems. That is why I hardly host Halo 5 Forge Custom games any more. I just don't need the aggravation plus there are not all the many people that play the game any more. That is why I play Halo Online. At least I can kick asshats off the server IN GAME!! Unlike Halo 5 Forge For PC.
I was asking generally the forum if they had any help for my particular problem. I attached it to your thread because it relates to your topic of setting up kill spawns for ppl who chose the "wrong team". I did NOT need your smart ass remarks as a way to help me with my map. LOL you don't even realize that you already responded to that post at the top of this page!!! All yoiu can do is ***** and complain about a game that someone gave you for free. I'm grateful for your idea of a spawn kill trap, but beyond that I am done listening or reading your ****. later (not)
