Nite's the first map that I've made that I truly like. I took many different concepts from favorite 1v1 maps of mine and tried to make them all work together in harmony. I tried to give it a Quake feel as well. Whether I did all that or not, I don't know. Anyways, Nite... More information to come if I ever feel like it. lol
Looks pretty cool from what I can see in one pic. Im kinda curious what peices you used for the grey and blue squares at the bottom? Also, more pics please!
The door piece on the bottom floor looks awful on an otherwise beautiful map. Anyways I love what you've done with the 2x2 flat/door combination.
I wanna come into Forge and play guess the object on here, as my poopy eyesight prevents me from being able to tell what you used for the floor in the picture. Anyway, looks like you're taking a less circular approach to this map, it does look sort of gray though. Anyway, invite me next time I'm on. EDIT: Damnit! Also, you spelled "Night" wrong.
Looks like a sick layout, but I know there's something more creative you can do with the walls. Don't be a noob.
/i-think-you'd-be-surprised Intentional -.- Which walls? EDIT: Also, there's a price you pay for using 28 walls on a 4x8 space. Awesome floor = meh walls Alllso, is it quake-y enough for you now? Thanks to everyone else!
Walls: Objects that are used as a barrier. Not wall pieces. There are many objects you can use for walls from any catergory (decoratives, bridges, boxes). Like I said "don't be a noob". Almost gave me a Quakegasm.
Aww, seriously? One pic? Looks good as always. I doubt I need to say it, but more pics, please. Also, I like what you did with the floor, but it looks too complex to fit around most of the map, that is, if that's what you were trying to do.
Am I allowed to take credit for the trend of adding quake style to maps? Regardless, this one picture looks solid. Can't say much more about the design until you A. Get off your satellite or B. Post more pictures.
I'm gonna have to give the credit to Nexn. Once he made Sequence, it was Quake from there to the end.
I'd suggest using Ramp Bridge, Larges where you have Brace Larges for walls. It would add color and efficiently uses a usually underutilized group (Inclines). Not to mention its more cost-efficient, with every 2 Ramp Bridge, Larges being used for every Brace Large helping you save $80 per replacement. The more obvious advantage is that it will add a lot of color. As for the design and feedback, it's hard to tell what the layout is like based off of one picture, but the only suggestion I potentially could make is to delete the Brace Larges in the farthest-right part of the picture to open up LoS, but again, it's hard to judge the layout with just a single picture. Feel free to send me a friend request if you need input/feedback or someone to play.
Thanks, and soon. Looks better with than without. Thanks! I will be changing the walls, though I'm not sure what I'm going to change them to. Those braces weren't originally there, I got added them to break up LoS for framerate. Sadly the doors are the cause of the framerate, so I'll need to adjust them if I want it gone. So those will probably be removed. The middle atrium is actually pretty open, however. And will do! No, no you are not. A. Get on more so you catch me on one of my good connections B. If I every get around to it >.> Again, soon. And it's the only place that floor is present. It will probably be simplified at some point for framerate, but the idea was to have it like a few Quake maps (Almost Lost, House of Pain) where you drop down into water and only have one way to move out of the area. I didn't, however, want it to be just the sandbar, so I cam up with that. Plus, it's the main point of the map, I think it deserves it's own awesome floor. Stfu I meant I wasted so many on the floor I didn't have that many to use as walls. I didn't meaning that as in Just the wall category. That map got dropped, this is a completely different build. In the one you put it in, however, I did not. Plus, why would you want a receiver on the bottom of the map? >.> No one would go through the sender.
So im finally going to post a comment on this. I think that the map is going pretty well so far. The lifts are an awesome touch that I think I showed you before I think it needs more Gallant though Also, no picts. The people demand it
oh hot damn! i have always wanted to make a a nice asymetrical map like this but always fail. this map is astheticaly pleasing. i could see gameplay being good on this...
