hello all, Im a pro level designer, i work for playground games in the UK, i am new to forging and id thought i would try something new. I have allready met some of you guys as they were nice enough to drop by and give me there opinion on my first ever map. (a fail btw lol) anyway i love forging and i am really interested in learning some tips and tricks from you guys. My first question! i have ran out of blocks! and Walls!, what can I use instead of them? Thanks
Bridges make for good walls if you use the underside of them. As does the Brace Large if it's still in forge. Some of the platforms make for nice flooring if you turn them upside down too! You work for Playground you say? Any chance of some free Forza Horizon stuff? Have a cookie for making such a good game --> A ♥ Sky point too! Welcome to ForgeHub my friend. I'm sure we can be best buddies. I promise not to rape you much.
I've been here long enough already to know this is a lie. Welcome bro. I'm a FH noob as well. ^^ I've done some contract work for Riot Games as a concept artist and did some level design for casual games published by Little Red Goblin Games. Nice to see a pro running about.
Welcome to the Hub of Forge! If you run out of blocks, you begin to discover the many sides and awkward faces people to use to keep textures fresh...personally, I loved using the backs of bridges as walls where I could.
Rocks are also an option for some variety. Many of the platforms also have flat undersides. The pieces take some getting used to...
