Here is a new map that I am currently working on. It takes up about half of the crypt on Sandbox and has some similarities to Sword Base from the Reach beta. It will be set up to play all the standard gametypes, just a typical competitive map. So far I have forged almost all of one side and half of the other, but still have a good bit left to finish. Here are some pics. I know I have enough budget to finish, I am just having to rework some areas so that I will have enough of certain items. I just wanted to post this here to get some feedback and ideas. I don't really have any ideas for a map name right now so those could be helpful also. I will give some more updates on this thread if anyone is interested in testing or whatever. Thanks in advance.
So far, not bad, not bad at all, very clean might I add. I really like the amoutn of detail being into the map so far. Be sure ot keep it up in the final product of the map.
Nice job dude, It actually caught my eye. For some of these good previews, I actually have to look at them thoroughly. But I liked this one from the start. It looks very original and very clean, keep it up.
Looks very nice so far and I really like what you have done with the fins on the ramps. I think you need to add some cover in the middle when you are done and make sure you build the map up high enough so people cant escape over the top of it. I also like your choice of desgin. Sword bases design makes it very good for all team games.
It's coming along pretty well, I like what you've down concerning the ramps across the map. If I were you, I would focus on building more of a room movement map, where the players mainly travel from room to room to get to the destination they desire. I think the Reach Swordbase has such long hallways because of the armor abilities, which can dramatically change situations. In halo 3, if you were to have such long hallways, people caught out in the open would get destroyed..so, room to room gogogo. The aesthetic features are on par aswell.
