Hey guys. idk if anyone has said anything about how to line objects up yet but I wasn't planning on reading 20 pages of unread posts.... anywho what I do is before I set the run time minimum to the maximum to initiate the No Clipping. Before that, while you're waiting for the Never respawn object to despawn line up the object in your hand against another object so that once it is no clipped all you got to do is place it correctly. But it won't be crooked so that is one problem solved...hope I wasn't repeating something someone said...
Woa i tried the glitch out today and i makes forging so much easier for me and has really helped inprove my new map but my only complaint is because i cant set it on the grid it is hard to get the ground even where i used it in some places but i did realize that it takes away flickering for the most part.
You were, but its good info to re-hash, as some people still seem to be missing it. The cool kids call it pre-bracing.
Yeah, its in my tips section. That section is definately worth reading. All the little things that people came up with to make this more effective, i.e. how to stop the invisible glitch, and the prebracing that you brought back up are hidden there Oh... I guess you beat me... =(
Wow! I've been away from these forums for a long time, so I didn't even hear about this! That's some sweet news, too bad I stopped forging.
Hey guys, I just posted my first map using this technique. It's on blackout just to mix it up a bit. Almost every object is no-cliped. LIGHTS'S EDIT: No Advertising.
Holy crap I can't wait to see the new wave of maps that this brings with it! There is going to be some truly amazing stuff made.
Yeah iv been using this glitch like crazy for a ghost town map, its made it so easy. Also i found this out and its just really simple for making a floating object without stacking, all you do is hit x over the object you want to no clip and do all the max and min run time stuff but do not grab it. It will spawn an object with full collision but if you place it in air it will stay there. Idk if it works all the time but that just what i found.
^^^ wow the floating glitch posted above is amazing. for those of you to lazy to read his post what you do is: the normal no clip glitch but when the respawn: never disappears do not grab the other object just force spawn the clone block. then pick up the original and it will be normal but when you let go of it it will float (it will actually fall but when you start new round it will be exactly where it was this could be usefull for doing old school geo's (using this instead of save quitting maybe)
Yup haha iv been messing around alot with this i'll post any new findings, but that one was cool really good for making platforms and stuff. And sorry for not being able to explain it better,
Hey LIGHTSOUT, sorry for sdveritsing, I didn't really mean to promote my map, really I just wanted people to see an example of what this glitch can do. Is it ok If I post a pic or somthing, cause I know I saw someone else do it. thanks, diger44
It works regardless of whether you do that little collision on or off thing. Nice find, but its unfortunately a step in the wrong direction. -_- Edit: Nvm what was originally here. I misread the forum rules.
It does matter how much like promoting it is. He can promote in his map thread all he wants, and even in his sig if he fancies, but outside of that, its a no go.
I love you, and if Jenkins never showed this to me, I would never have been able to try to complete the MLG map...THIS IS AWESOME THANKS SO MUCH BUNGIE! LOL no thanks for discovering this Tyler and death yoyo =D
