Aloha members of forge hub. It's pretty obvious that I am new here, and as the title says, I am lost. I have been reading around the boards for a while, but I honestly don't know where to start when it comes to posting. I am an aspiring forger, who just needs to know his way around. I have a few maps, a few map ideas I may need help with, etc. I suppose the first question I should ask is, where can I post questions? Because I have a lot of em. Is there a topic for this, or should I post them in whatever category fits? Second, where do I go to recommend map and gametype ideas to other forgers? I literraly have a list of possible gametypes I can make. (unfortunately, my xbox Is currently not with me ) Third, I've seen some picture thing where you can sketch-up a map before you make it. What is this program, and how do I get to it? If anyone can generally explain the forums or answer a question I would greatly appreciate it. Peace
1) Forge Discussion. There's forging 101 and a whole sub forum to ask questions and such. 2) Again your best bet is probably forge discussion. Or talking to other members through PMs and such. 3) You're referring to google sketch-up. It's a free software download, but I forget who made the foundry components, so if anyone could post those that would be great.
Alright, thanks a bunch. I just need to figure out how to hook up my xbox to my pc, and I'll be pretty much ready to post my maps. There are only 2 maps at this point that I would post, but that's better than none. Are there any topics on where to suggest forge ideas? One more thing, how do you embed a picture of your map?
Download the picture from B.net to your computer. Upload it to a photo host like photobucket.com Then click the little image symbol in the options box when posting the map or put the direct url in these tags Code: [IMG]www.photobucket.com/myimagelol[/IMG]
