Hey guys, so im new to Forgehub, and this will be my first post. My map is a small arena floating high in Forgeworld. The whole arena is sealed so nothing can escape. The gametypes I created to play this map are Neon Paint & Neon King. One being a Team Slayer gametype, the other a KOTH gametype. Overall it took me about 2 hours to build and perfect so im not expecting anything saying that my map is amazing, because its pretty basic. But all feedback, good or bad, is welcomed With my map & gametype I kind of went for 'Fast-paced, paintball' sort of rules. There are NO weapons or powerups of any kind on the map. This map was constructed using ONLY the item 'Ramp, Stunt'. (Lights added in spawns) Visual Effects are used to create the dark & neon atmosphere inside the arena. I cant think of anything else to write sooo anyway. On to the gametypes. Neon Paint (Neon Paintball) The main factors of this gametype are: Damage resistance - 10% Damage modifier - 300% Melee damage - 0% Immunity to assassinations Starting weapon - Plasma Pistol Score limit - 75 Those who have ever been to a Paintball game would know that physical contact is strictly forbidden, hence the melee damage being removed. And that if you are hit once you must declare out and return to the start, or, 'respawn'. Which is why one shot will kill you. Respawns are set to 3 seconds compensate for the small nature of the map. And that just about covers that gametype! Neon King is basically the same rules, just KOTH style... Yeah I kinda cheated with the description of this one Picture time! (Spawns & Hill removed for these first few.) I think the arena looks pretty nice and when I get Live working I will definitely help test! Small and simple! Im new too and but have seen the other minigames and I think this map is great, including it's gametypes! Spawn killing. 3 people could easily spawn kill the rest of them. Since you have quite a lot of ramp stunt you could probably add another level entirely to this map, which would definitely cut down on spawn killing. That single factor would ruin this game for anyone who played it. On top of that, I know you were trying to go for a small feel, but at the very least this should be twice as big. Maybe make it two stories high, even with just replicating that same structure; or add more to it on the horizontal plane, once again, even by simply mirroring it. You used an technique rarely seen in maps, so I commend you on that, but overall it can't be fully appreciated due to the size of the map. Hope this helps.
