Okay, I can forge fairly well, but I really need help with spawns. I know how they work and the basics of placing them (not facing walls, etc.) but I can never get a good spawn system going. So i`m asking you to help explain to me how I should use spawns and spawn areas, and possibly link me to a few maps with good spawns. Thanks in advance.
Here you go, the most dumbed down short version of how spawns work in gameplay; The location of spawns activly affects how the game ebs and flows, and how fast your team can recover. The more clustered they are the easier it is to come back, but when they are spread out its harder to spawn camp. It really depends on your map. The direction of spawns helps how players tell where they are on your map, and by facing towards certain locations can put a subconsiense message in their mind like 'I should go that way!' Respawn areas either make spawn weighted a certain direction or link many adjecent spawns together, giving them similar weighting in all circumstances. So, once again it depends on the map. I basically said how spawns can be used as a good complement or intuitive contrast with the flow of your map. But, yes they can skrew it over. They best way to succeed is play tons of games with lots of different people until you have it correct.
