So I really want to make some cool and unique maps for Reach. I used to be a very hardcore Gary's Mod spacebuild player and I've decided to switch my creative outlet to Reach's Forge. However I haven't really gotten to experience forge in Halo 3, so I'm a new comer to the game. I'm learning as I'm going and it's not too bad, but I really need help with some of the precision stuff. What I mean is... How to be precise? Currently I'm working on a floating map, and it's difficult to get my things on the same plane. Is there any way I can precisely move things? And if so how do I?
DESIGN Think about your maps, don't just go into forge and think your going to make something amazing. You should plan something. Draw it out on paper. Test some ideas. After you've done you map get it tested. Forgehub can do that in our testing section . This will allow you to tweak and balance your map. General forge tips: Edit coordinates are your friends. This will get everything PERFECT! And lock rotation is a dream too.
Heh you may have misunderstood me. I know exactly what I want, I don't need any help with that. I literally don't know what buttons I need to press to get into precise coordinates or lock rotations =P

When you're holding an object press the B button to open the coordinates menu and then hit A to change the coordinates. That's really all I can say to help you out, sorry in advance if it doesn't
If you are moving the object freely or through the snap mode then you can click in the left thumbstick to give you extra precision. The Z-axis is still a little touchy when you hit the bumpers but it slows it down a little. Hope this helps.
