    Greetings,

So I want to add a pelican to my skyline remake that acts like the falcon in the original skyline map in Halo 4.

Also it would be great to weld a search light to it.

I don't know how to script (or weld) at all, so any guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

are you doing skyline from h4? great map. got pics??

welding is easy just group them, then go into the object options menu and there will be a weld option.

scripting it to fly around i've seen people do scripts like that that look really glitchy and bad but good luck anyway.

You wouldn't be able to make the search light rotate if you welded it. I'm not 100% sure it would rotate properly while moving either. But that could be quickly tested.

As far as welding is concerned, it's basically just like grouping from the menu. Group the objects, then open the menu and select WELD. They would not be able to rotate separately of one another once this is done from my understanding.

As for scripting it, you're stuck with it moving in a straight line. You could have it rotate and continue moving, but it wouldn't look as nice. You're best off setting up 2-3 of them, having them fly through, starting and stopping out of sight, and using despawn/respawn timers to trigger messages that control their movement and resetting their position.

I'll be on after 7 PM CST tonight and could help. GT: CaptainPunch374

thats a good idea for the scripting. i saw someone try to script an orbiting planet and it was really kind of bad. great idea but it didn't really work

I posted my skyline remake here last week, http://www.forgehub.com/maps/skyline.1708/

I've changed the lighting and added more detail since taking those photos. It's Skyline 2.0 on my file share, gt: D4rkpr1nc3 if you want to check it out.

Not sure why the guy have it 1 star...

Doing the search light thing is gonna be very hard, you should just have some pelicans randomly fly by the map on a straight line.

You could make the pelican black and white like the ODST one.
