I'm wondering what if anything can change between rounds. For instance spawns. Can I only have teams switch sides or can I have people spawn in different areas all together? Can I have the amount of points awarded for the objective change?
1. Everything is reset to its original state when a new round begins, so unless you're using nuetral initial spawns, you cannot force a team to spawn in a different location each round unfortunately regarding Slayer variants. Nevertheless, if you do use nuetral intial spawn points, you will have no control over which set a team will spawn at. 2. You may have to explain this a little better. If I'm understanding the question correctly than yes, you can change the amount of points earned for capturing an objective in the "gametype options" menu when in either the War Games or Forge lobby.

I never really delved into Shoe's variant, but the default CTF gametype that it was made from does not force side changes given it doesn't involve multiple rounds, so I would assume that is an aspect that has to be changed manually in the gametype options. Are you positive that the 1-Flag variant forces a side change when a new round begins? Ah, than the answer is no, unfortunately. The amount of points earned for capturing an objective remains static throughout the entire game regarding Flag.
1. The teams switch places with a round end naturally. Each round the teams will be in the opposite place. 2. However, there is no way to make points change to the best of my knowledge. A flag cap is a flag cap, no matter who scores.
