I'm not sure what type of input you desire, young padawon. sorry, I've been watching star wars lately and I'm just in the mood. lol looking good so far dude, keep it up. I suggest that you make like a rounded bridge/walkway thing you can fall off both sides of. I personally dojn't like shield doors on sandbox doesn't make sense. :/
    thats mee.

Uh, yeah, just trying to be unique; but what I need help with is I am trying to make a "guardian or lockout inspired map" hence guardout, and I am stuck on the elbow piece; my creative juices are drained; I can post a picture of the elbow and what I am trying to do; but maybe someone could just see it: Gamertag is NORTHWDC
    Thanks, Appreciatefully
    (I made that word up)

The elbow is to the right of the pic and leads to a base kind of like the sniper tower on lockout; I am not sure if I should keep the shield door walkway thing and if I do, I dont really have a good place for it to funnel out to

The reason why Guardian is a spiritual successor is obviously not because they look or play similar. It's because they are for the most part a round shaped map that connect one way or another around the outside with a main two story junction in the center. There are many other redundant details that I'm sure someone will be itching to call me out on but the basic layout is that. Stick with that and you'll have your spiritual successor.

By the way, I think the shield door is the most brilliant part of your map. It creates a walk way that is safe to travel, yet doesn't block your field of view. It's not like snowbound were you can camp it with the shotgun, because the actual entrances to the bridge are open.

I think that maybe some kind of tower would be cool where that gap is on the top left of your pic. The light from the laser tower is almost pleading to have something there by shining it's light on it. Once a tower is in place, how about a circular walkway that goes around it on the bottom level. Kinda like how Halo 2's Gemini had that circular walk way outside in the back, but no were near as big.

For a gameplay appeal this tower should be off center from the one you are working on. This would not only look good, but would retain the off-centered design from Lockout's Br1 and sniper spawn towers. The walk way around the back would keep with the circular walkway structure of both maps your trying to get a feel for.

In regards to the tube piece, it might be just the pics, but I don't like it at all. I think your map is very pleasing to the eye, and that those tubes distract from this. That is probably why you are having a creative meltdown in regards to that section. If you want some kind of tube hallway for inescapable Br battles maybe a underground passage(like Guardian but not as long) connecting the current tower, and the one I suggested should you decide to make it.

You basically just said what was my map's main idea; maybe I could get a little help with the basic walkway around like on Gemini, I would appreciate it Thanks

I dont know if you can see the mancannnon on the left side, but I planned to have that shoot over to the sniper tower somehow; and having a br base opposite(not a tower), and of course the central 2 story structure. And another Base thingy (semi-connected) on the other edge of the square; opposite the shield door side....... ill take a overhead view and label some stuff

I would use bridge pieces for the walkway, because they are large and wouldn't use up many precious wall pieces. To interlock them to the rest of the map you will need to do this: place a guide for instance, if you need a bridge to inter lock with a double block, place a double block next to the one in question. Place a bridge(or whatever you decide to use) on top of the double block guide. Once you've done this. Delete the double block guide and hold a new bridge piece under the one that is now floating. Make sure you get it where you want it and without letting go, save your map, quit, and then restart. This type of interlocking is in my opinion the most tedious, but it's the best way. If you want to see an example you can look Here! It is a map I've made with many walkways like the ones described. There are many pics that will give you an Idea.

The Tube pieces are just to add cover/ asthetics i may end up taking them off if budget needs be; I was thinking of making a transport device by putting grav lifts at the bottom of the tube pieces and ride the grav lifts across by levitating below the tube pieces, but it cost too much and I couldnt get it to work properly. I may end up deleting them anyways.

As for the idea with the bridge, I will probablly do that. Thanks for the feedback, its nice to get it so quickly as a new member; but anyways if I do not remove the tube pieces, do you see another solution, The pics may help

    Muchas Gracias
