So Im Building a Ship and I want to make it move the ship is large around 250 objects when I built it I welded as I built and it stayed together just fine but the original ship was to big so I unwelded it and and now when I try to reweld it random pieces fly apart for no reason is this a normal glitch, or is there something that im just doing wrong?
Previously, I would have thought this was just a display problem and all we have to do is deselect the group and reselect it and then the display would update correctly. But I recently had a simple group of objects move together when they were not welded, but move apart after they were welded. Too many things are messed up right now. It helps me to think of this Forge as a beta test for now.
Welding is still very broken, couple tips to help bring down the chances of stuff breaking, have all pieces you're welding set to phased, have magnets set to off while working on welded object, try to move it as little as possible, as for scripting welded object might have to put that notion on hold until they work out the kinks. I was playing around in forge and seeing what i could script and I made a very simple rocket, looked like a model rocket from the hobby store, and scripted it to launch worked the first time but when i grabbed it and moved it reset it, once I let go it all fell apart like it was unglued even though they all were technically still welded, and this happened multiple times i tried it at least 5 different times on different maps and different days. Always ended up falling apart until I finally gave up on the idea all togeather ...
