have wanted to make a series for some time, tried making one on geevee but took to long, poor quality, and the giant symbol in the corner. so iu've decided to see what sort of things i'd need without it or bulltrue.

would a capture card or dvd recorder be better for making a machinima? also would i need a good sound recorder or could i just record sounds onto these things.

any help would be appreciated :squirrel_wink:

yes a cap card is better
as for sound you have three options:

    1) buy a mic
    2) use headphones (plug em into mic jack and talk into em)
    3) have actors talk using XBL mics and record the same scene twice using the capture card, once during filming (for the audio) once during theater mode (for the video)

Isn't this the wrong place for this. I kind of expected to see a video in the "videos" section. On a side note, Geevee blows for everything but a montage.
