Ok so my Ripple Map Pack is finally done and I am planning on making a video show casing all of its maps. I have a d90(camera) and I want to film footed of my maps off of my tv. Is there a way to just use a cord a plug my camera into my tv and film or do I have to buy a really expensive thing to do it?

This depends, because not every single camera can record raw footage from your television. What brand is your camera(sony, HP, ect)? try seeing in your users manual or something because I believe there is a special jack that you need. I'm not sure on the specifics or how it's used but you can probably find a video on youtube that explains how it works.

Otherwise, you could always pick up a capture card; they're not too expensive hovering around 50-100$ for an average Dazzle(what I have) sometimes less. The quality isn't too bad either.

YouTube- Halo 3 Forged Ship- UNSC Journey's End

Video I made using my cap card, Dazzle DVC100, bought it for 60$ at Best Buy.

You want to be looking for inputs and outputs. Most digital cameras and cam-corders will have an output so you can display the image on a TV and a few have an input too, but they're not so common.

If you're talking about the Nikon D90 then my first guess would be that what you want to do is not possible. It has an HDMI HD video output but no input.

If you have a DVD Recorder (not just a DVD Player, one that can record TV on DVDs) then you can use that, just plug the Xbox in to the DVD Recorder and the DVD R in to the TV.

Or you could get a capture card or ask someone to capture the clips for you, email you the raw video so you can edit the full video yourself.
