I'm currently making a Super Smash Bros type gametype off Blackout, where you try to knock the other off the ledge with gravity hammers. However, I'm doing this alone and I'm having a lot of trouble getting a level, merged platform with no bumps and problems.

I have the completed map of what it will look like so whoever helps me has an idea, but it essentially needs to be completely redone. Can somebody help me fix this?

    My gamertag is Sharkiest.

I wouldn't mind helping, as i think I know where you are getting stuck. However, could you give us a link to the map so that we can see what the basics are.
    Good luck!

Here's what I (prematurely as I now realize) released.

    http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=19844776

It's sloppy and needs a lot of work now that I thought about it, but that's the general idea.

    On the to do list:
    - Completely redo the platforms (merge so they are all level and flat and don't have bumps between them)
    - Lower platform (make it harder to get back on main map)
    - Add more effects, alter existing (grav lifts as double jumps are just one idea so far)
    - Redo gametypes
    - Test

OK. Now, I downloaded your map and had a look. I think that it is good. I didn't find any major faults, just small improvements.
Here is my response to your 'to do list':
Redo platform - not really necessary. If you just take some time lining up the walls, it will look just as good as if you spent countless hours interlocking.
    Lower platform - OK, maby.
Add effects - True, but easy.
    Redo gametype - easy.
Test - i would be happy to help.
If you really want to interlock, i recommend a second platform, made out of boxes/slanted bridges/stairs, with a permanent grav lift to it. This would make it even more realistic, and a bit more tactical.
Anyway, good luck with your map, and if you need any advice I would be happy to help.
    Good job!

If you want to get a flat platform floating in the air, try spawning an object (Don't use the left trigger to do anything with it) so that it will be perfectly aligned. Then save and quit. You can then build off of this platform.

I did that for the first part of it, but the problem arises of aligning the second box i have to spawn to put things on top of exactly with the first box I spawn.

I see what you mean... use a cap stone... ok... so your first object is working flat and perfect... so place a large unmoving object on top... and turn your perfect object off start a new round and use the cap object to make sure your objects are the same level up.. in the air...I have to do that on a map as well...
