Technically, this is game related so I hope this thread doesn't get moved/closed.

I'm looking for a capturing device that supports component and HDMI cables, and that works with both PC and Mac. With all of the specifications that I have it's pretty hard to find one, thats why I've you guys for help. I've came across 3 that I really like, but they just barely don't meet my requirements.

    Hauppauge HD PVR:
This one is pretty good, it captures up to 1080i and it's a reasonable price. But it only supports component cables and Windows computers.

    Blackmagic Intensity Pro:
I really like this one, it supports component and HDMI cables and works with PC and Mac, all for just $200. The only problem is that it's an internal device that only works with tower-based computers, not laptops. Both my PC and the MacBook Pro I'll be getting next month are laptops:(

    Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle:
This one is my favorite, it supports everything as the Intensity Pro and it's external! But it only works with USB 3.0 computers and there are only a select few out there right now. My question is why could somebody make a product that only works on a few computers rather than a wide variety?

If anybody knows of an external capturing device that meets all my requirements, and uses USB 2.0, then please let me know. Thanks for reading.

Hauppauge, I have one. It's great, wouldn't recommend anything else. But then again, I haven't tried the others haha.
