Naval War Map Overview To start off I will say that Naval War was a very fun map to make and the concept of the game makes it even more fun. Naval War is an assault map the uses skill, team work, and one main objective, detonate the bomb. It consists of two sides (R v B) and a middle or center. The goal is to plant the bomb in the enemies base by using vehicles for transportation, thats where team work comes in, because you are unable to touch the water. This is a fast playing game; there is always so action going on. Below is more information on Naval War. Hope you enjoy! Helpful tips and other information *Bomb spawns in middle on platform *Spartan laser and wraith spawn in middle *Most action occurs in the middle *If you keep the action going in the middle you can sometimes slip out and score while the other team is distracted. *You are unable to walk the bomb along the coliseum wall bordering the map. Reminds me a lot of my map (link is in my signature if you want to look at it). Heh. Anyway, it looks pretty good, the structures look like they could use some more cover, and maybe some decorations, because they look pretty bland in terms of aesthetics. The water part could be a little bit bigger, though I know from experience what kind of limitations there are with a map like this. If you're not using them already, try the putting more coliseum walls underwater for more area if you have any left over. Overall though, I think you did a pretty good job on a kind of map that very few people have done (myself included, high-five!).
Just adding on to what styxman34 said about the coliseum walls, maybe you could use a couple of grids instead? Anyway, I really like the idea. The map looks clean and it has some nice height variation. But I have to agree with styxman34, it does look kinda bland. I honestly have no idea what you could do though, tell me if you come up with anything, I always get stuck on these things.
I would most certainly would add more detail to the map but I only have $70 left because of having vehicles, shield doors, and turrets. It really drains your money and I think it adds a sort of texture to the map. I also based my map off of another map called Torrential Attack by MartyAlan. I have already have 2 grids together to make the 'water part.' Thanks for the feedback.
