Ok, I want to get back to making a new project on Sandbox, because the Distortion World project takes a much more elaborate forging approach then I initially thought and partway though making the map I realized I would have to redo the whole thing if I wanted it done right. So I dropped the project. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Now, what I have in mind is something different. Through the past year or so, I'll been forging infection, casual, and mini game maps and I think I'll stick to that for my next map. However, since I like my older maps, I got the idea to recreate one of them. So, I have made this thread with the intention that you guys at Forgehub would help me decide which of my old maps to remake. I've narrowed it down to 5 choices. The maps are: Construction Site Alpha A large complex where the zombie trails close behind you as you run through a large maze to the finish. Slowing down results in death, and is not an option. Construction Site Beta An enclosed complex with construction workers sealed inside. They must search the map for weapons and fend off the infected horde trapped inside with them. *Note: There is a roof; this picture just has it removed so you can see the maze. Kinsythe This level builds upon itself over time, as humans try to survive for as long as possible. Difficulty increases with more zombies, while humans earn more powerful weapons. Water Temple Fat Kid remixed to fit the theme of Chaos 0 from Sonic Adventure. As you explore this forgotten temple the creature calls home, you must fight off the demon or become possesed in his rage to infect. We'll survive on this arena. (Bleach Arena) Every arena map may seem dull, but this is the first to be used for a solid infection varient. As both the level and weaponry spawn as time progresses, humans must survive for as long as they can and fight off the persistent zombie horde. ________________________________________________________________________________________ So, what'll it be? I think you should remake the arena one but maybe make it bigger cause you'll have more items to use in sandbox.
Definitively the alpha one. I loved the original, but it was a bit sloppy. Its a very simple concept, but also very enjoyable. Also, if you could make it to where there are just a few slight changes every time you play, like random spawning walls/boxes (ya know what I'm talking bout) that way, you wouldn't just be able to breeze through it every single time. I really enjoy your maps, not only because they are cool, but very original. Oh, and if you need any help with forging, I've been around the forgeball more than a few times.
From all of these maps that you have listed, I personally liked We'll survive on this Arena. It had a great concept that could 1) be remade easily on Sandbox and 2) be changed around to have parts not only from the original but with a whole new design and everything. So I would have to vote for that one. Especially if you gave it a new concept too.
I voted Beta (I thought, with some clean forging that'll be a fantastic map) But after I voted, I gave 'em all a glance again, and then I noticed that you could make a slayer version of the Water Temple (never played Fat Kid, and I don't often hear anything good about it). So, my vote would actually go to the Water Temple.
All I want from you Master, is a larger **** Zombies map on Sandbox. I don't want any other remake other than that.
i think kinsythe looks like a good one the remake as you could seriously improve it on sandbox with all the extra forge objects there
Yah, a new **** Zombie map by the creator would be epic. But I'm good for now with yours and patt06snipe's. FOR NOW. Whatever map you pick to remake, I'll try, but I would also like to see a new original from you. Not aesthetic, infection, mini game, race or anything. Just something you've always wanted to make, like slayer or territories. Something original after the remake. I don't know, I just see you doing that next and making a huge hit off of it.
Well, with 7 votes, looks like most people want a remake of "this arena." I can understand that, it was the map (other than the Last Day) that most people on Forgehub came to know me by. It was my first map post here, it went though 3 versions here, and it got a spot on Bungie Favorites. I'll leave the final decision until the weekend, so keep those votes coming!
I would have to say construction site beta only have the hallways like tubes ( not the rectangle ones that are pre-made)
