It's kind of hard to suggest an outer perimeter for a map when we can't even imagine what the map itself looks like. Give us screenshots so we can see what you've started then we can suggest a good perimeter for you. If you haven't started the map then maybe start on it, use the idea you're going with, then take a screenshot or two and we'll see if we can help you.
