I just had a great idea for a map on foundry, make a map with a huge wall in the middle of the map dividing it in 2 (each time is on one side) and the only way of getting to the other side is going through a man cannon and that's my idea (btw i don't know if I should make a barrier of some sort so people can't throw grenades, what do you think?)
i tried that already and it didnt play out well. maybe if stuff was placed good it would work but idk. all i know is i failed in that gametype
Seems like a boring idea to be honest. Could you go inside the wall? What would be on each side of the wall, bases, nothing?
If you do this, I suggest multiple mancannons. No one wants to jump through a mancannon only to see halfway through the launch that the opposing team has 3 guys with shotguns waiting at the landing zone.
what if you made it like a mancannon maze of sorts. not an actual maze but when you go through the man cannon you land in a tunnel which leads to places. maybe one will land u in a ventalation shaft. maybee another just in a room. idk.
Seems pretty common. Maybe you can think of something else to make it stand out? Maybe add some underground tunnels of some sort?
What everyone is basically saying is, great, you have one idea. It's not going to get you anywhere however, especially seeing how it's not the most creative thing in the world [A wall and two mancannons. Be honest <__<]. But if you can make it unique by adding another idea, then it has a ton more potential for greatness.
Like...? If you're going to post a simple, vauge idea, expect people to want to know what makes it a good map and what the little details or sub-ideas for the map.
