In a game that's all about positioning and getting the first shot on somebody and confrontations last a fraction of a second, those wide expanses of flat area and massive lines of sight aren't a big deal. That map is the best one in MW2. In a game where players are dueling each other for several seconds at a time, you need to create interesting geometry to have fights in. You need varied heights, multiple routes, well designed cover to allow juking, and just generally interesting and fun geometry to fight in and around. Terminal is not a good map in Halo. If you tried mini-sizing it like the famous Halfghan, you could actually probably get a really cool map with that design though.
The map is okay, but what you need to add is more scenery like crates, and chairs. That will make it look and feel better. Not only that, but the map will seem more small and not spread out.
Yea Im gonna start over tomorrow remaking it and changing it so its smaller and better with more objects
