Unnecessary? get off the "cool train" and accept it for what it is, and I believe it was pulled off really effectively and cinematically. I agree.
So who has perfected the game and gotten all the achievements yet? It only took me about 2 days. Pretty easy, not much of a challenge. Btw, I just got the freaking M16A4 and it's the best Assault Rifle and possibly the best overall weapon in the game. Accurate, destructive, high penetrate, add a scope and you have a 3 shot sniper. My setup for it: M16A4 with ACOG Scope AA12 Shotgun with Silencer Perk 1: Slight of Hand Pro Perk 2: Stopping Power Pro Perk 3: Steady Aim Pro (for hipfire shotgun) Sometimes on specific maps I'll use the Thermal with a Heartbeat sensor and use Bling Pro to add a grip to the shotgun. Anyways, yeah, who has all the achievements?
I agree Juggernaut. I use M16 with thermal scope Marathon (because I'm cool like that) Stopping Power Pro Ninja and Painkiller if that matters I just got urban camo the other day. I'm working on blue tiger
The opening to MW2 was excellent. Maybe is wasn't especially awesome for most 'hardcore' gamers out there, but for players new to the game it's perfect for immersing them into how the game works. Plus the two buildings that are bombed are more potent than the mission 'No Russian'. @Juggernaut, that's pretty cool that you got all the achievements. I'm going back through to get all the intel and I gotta get started at spec ops. So who's got the fastest pit time? My record best is 25.3 seconds.
Has anyone here beat either of those spec ops missions where you have to kill all the juggernauts? (I think its the echo stage or whatever the last stage is called) We tried playing the high explosives stage on veteran and its really tough. What is a good strategy to use?
Plant all your claymores at the door of the building to the left, while your teammate kills the first Juggernaut. Stay in the spawn area until they start coming in threes. Go into the building with all the claymores in, and you should be able to kill one or two with them. I think 10 claymores = 1 dead Juggernaut and aim for the head. one RPG headshot is an insta-kill. flashbang first to make things easier.
You do realise it's supposed to be abnormally hard, right? Single player isn't always about being boringly easy.
agreed, but I for one have to take incredibly hard SP games in short bursts, they can be extremely frustrating... In cod waw the NPC's literally know where you are no matter what(I hear some even constantly aim at you even if you are not "visible")
For the oil rig spec ops with the fifteen juggernauts, pick up the barret and the intervention. Race to the third stairwell, but sit at a distance. They will wander down one at a time and eventually in pairs. Just sit back and take 'em out with the snipers. DO NOT ENGAGE at mid-range. If they get close, wait till they are knifing distance and just no-scope with the barret. The sniper rifles are the only ones that stun them. And lastly, good luck.
CoD: WaW was a badly designed single player experiance. The less said, the better. MW2 has more memorisation, luck and skill rather then WaWs dumb luck. EDIT: There's an YouTube- High Explosive - Spec Ops Echo 3* Exploit for High Explosive. Good for getting any achievements but if you want to do the challengeing way...
Something interesting to read if you want to know the stats of some things. Pretty interesting all around.
Knifing with marathon, lightweight and commando is ****ing insane. 100+ kills in 5 games, without firing a bullet.
*WARNING* MW noobish question. Do you have to have played MW1 solo to understand MW2 solo? Planning on getting fairly soon and was just curious.
I went three games and got 30 headshots (rough estimate, it was above 20, but im pretty sure it was 30) with my sniper rifle, close range, quick scope, countersnipe, all types. amazing.
So the "Godly Sniper" has finally made the transition to the more Russian-massacreing battlefield, eh? Good to hear. We gotta get some games together. What sniper are you using, since your baby (Dragunov) is gone?
So it seems. Just played another game...sub base... 14-3...one of them was because i was defending my airdrop space with my machine pistol and after i had spent my ammo and my care package landed on me. I was sniping and relocating on one end, and they started spawning there, all you can hear over my mic is "OH CRAP OH CRAP OH CRAP" I didn't have camo on so everyone knew where i was on UAV, every corner I turned had some dude with an AR waiting for me, aiming down the sights, I shot em with my machinepistol and made a run for it, narrowly escaped lol. There was another match yesterday, I led a guy from his spawn to my spawn, killing him three times and relocating, so he expected me at each part each time and when he found I wasnt there, went running up ahead, each time finding me there with my sniper rifle waiting for him. Feeble fools fall for bait.
In my opinion, the new MW2 is 10,000% better then MW. Also, for any M14 (16?) fans out there, the FAL is just about an exact duplicate.
i love the FAL. and it has less recoil btw. my favorite maps are the oil rig one, estate, afghan, and quarry if im playing with a good group of people. quarry with some people = suckfest, to me it all depends on my oponents. and in scrapyard i got 15 kills in one game with the noob toob, in order to unlock meh undermount shotgun. im just trying to unlock the M16... BLUE TIGER CAMO IS FREAKING BEASTLY.
