The 50 cal, functionally, is better (RoF, less sway), albeit a tiny bit less range. The Intervention is cooler to kill with (beating someone that has an auto/semiauto/burst gun with a bolt action), albeit the 50 cal sounds more awesome. IW made the .50cal ****. How could the .50cal not get consistent one shot kills!? Whenever someone gets hit by that bullet, its either they get totally blown apart, bleed out, or lose a limb... then die. Crappy ass MW2 makes it seem like, "Oh, I've just been shot by a Barrett .50cal sniper rifle, but im alright, i can still live to fight another day..." Bull-****! I mean, the Barrett, initially is an anti-material weapon system, able to pierce tank armor, so when it is used as an anti-personnel weapon, there will be no chance of living! But i don't care anyway, i prefer the Barrett anyday. Black thereom, you're totally wrong about the .50cal not being as satisfy as the Intervention when you get a kill. Everytime I shoot a round its satisying to me and just as much when I kill someone. This why i don't play MW2 anymore, from the day it released, it became more and more garbage to me...
I'll say the same thing that I said to CHUCK. That point was an opinion; I believe that if you kill anyone with a auto/semiauto gun, and you have a bolt action, then it's more impressive than the other way around.
lol i was ****ing with you bro, that's why i put it in a VM rather than here. there was not an ounce of seriousness in my statements. A kill feels awesome no matter what it's with, SPAS has a lol effect, and so does a barrett at close range. When it comes to long range kills, the Intervention has a way of making you go "mmm yeah" like a bad ass; it's a chill sniper and it's pretty ****ing sweet to master. My fanboy attitude will always put the Barrett on top. also, rofl at that recoil abuse video. that's awesome.
If the Intervention didnt have such BAD sound effects, it would be more satisfying to kill with, it just sound like CRAP. I mean seriously, IT SQUEEKS!!
I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, but the intervention has a very sweet sound to it when fired. Listening to that hit marker and the cracking sound of the fire of the intervention is so satisfying.

I actually liked the sound of the Intervention from Campaign. Much more menacing, but different from the Barret.
Definitely... It has a more clean, non gay sound. In Campaign AND Spec Ops, I mean, Why change it for the multiplayer?
Here's my breakdown as of what I experienced today. Intervention: -More satisfying to use for quickscoping, and attack/rush sniping. -Not fun to camp with. Barrett: -More satisfying for hardscoping and defending. -fun(er) to camp with. I use the barrett when I feel like sitting on my lawn chair and snipin fools. I use the intervention(Which I use the most) is when I feel I'm on my game, or want to play aggressively(without using an AR) There's my opinion...
Hey why dont you Stfu? cause clearly its my opinion i like intervention because its orignal and bolt action not that the barett is bad but i dont like how it sometimes requires more than one shot to kill them then you end up just blind firing.
