Mutha Ship This map was inspired by a map I made in Timesplitters. It played great then, and it translates very well into Halo. It's a small symmetrical map that is basically two bases facing each other with a bridge spanning between them. In the middle, on each side, is a structure with a battle rifle on top. This is a great place to snipe from (on a map this small, the BR takes on the sniper role). Mancannons make travelling from each of the structures instant. Each base is protected by a turret and has an open feel with multiple entrances to guard. In the middle, atop the bridge, is a rocket launcher. Under the rockets is a small corridor with a bubble shield that can be very dangerous considering the piles of fusion cores. If you manage to escape the map, teleporters will bring you back into play, but with a gamble. You teleport into cages full of fusion cores. If an enemy is quick enough, he can make you pay for going out of bounds. This map is great for 2v2, and even works for 4v4. It is set up for all game types. I got a chance to check this one out in Forge. It definitely has an interesting layout, and I liked those leaning towers. I haven't seen anything quite like that yet. This map looks like it could be very fun, but for some reason I didn't really like the layout. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe if I played a game on it I'd feel differently. But it looks like you did a great job with balance, especially with the fusion coil placement.
I like the leaning towers, something new to me. The layout and design of the map though doesn't seem like it would fit many gametypes besides Slayer. Good work however.
Thanks for the comments guys. I've played this map with friends in a few different gametypes. It is great for Team Slayer if you like the fast paced chaotic way Team Slayer plays on the default Foundry. It actually plays very well for CTF also; being a small map it is more about defense, since, if the other team does manage to get away with your flag, it's pretty much over. Assault is very a frenetic and face paced game of desperatly killing the bomb carrier before he makes it to your base. The small scale of the map may seem like a downfall, but it is great for face paced, hold-your-breath, bullets and bodies everywhere types of matches.
The leaning towers are....irregular. Excellent! haha I especially look for things on Foundry that are outside of the box.
I love those tilted fence box structures, so creative. The only thing is the middle bridge looks a little basic, maybe more could have been added to the center area? - Brute Captain
