Hello everyone, I really hope you guys are enjoying Halo 4 so far but I know that forge is a pain in the butt for some of you especially me. Why is this? Well there's a problem with forge in Halo 4 that has been brought back from Halo Reach. The problem is how your objects move after you save your map. I have actually done some testing just a few moments ago to try to resolve this but came with no luck at all. I figured that this might happen due to the magnets, it actually did, barely. I looked it over and found out that "EVERY" time that you save your map regardless you save as a new map or as a regular save, it moves the yaw of "EVERY" object by about 0.05 percent "not even 1%". I have not been able to figure out if it's even possible to fix this or lessen the value of it. I have tried from putting magnets on low power and saving to saving as a new map with magnets on high power. So for those of you wondering why your objects slightly move, everytime you save a map, there are new forge units made like a cover for instance. For everytime you save, it replaces the forge unit cover making a slight adjustment change to make it not noticeable but is "VERY" noticeable since Halo Reach but had a smaller value, as for this game, it's a even bigger value of a forge unit. Hope this helped for those with the same problem as me and I do feel your pain.
I wonder if it's lining it up with coordinates? Go into "Edit Coordinates" and see if the object moves after loading the map.
What I've heard some of the more experienced forgers discuss and from my own observation; lag contributes to how much it shifts in forge. If your connection is poor then the objects you view will be very shifted. This shifting, however, from what I've heard is only apparent in forge. If you go into custom games the map will load exactly as saved. This is just what I've heard so don't take it to be truth. It does, I already know that it does that's what I mean when I did some testing a few moments ago. EDIT: I have noticed that nothing changes at all when played in custom games although that was a very good idea as this has happened in halo 3.
