Well, this is the second map for the attempted remakes at classics. I always try to add a twist to these maps. This monster trucks should only be used for parties of at least 8, otherwise, there's going to be a lot of waiting. Okay, people start out in four different squares, two have ghosts, two have mongooses. Over a short time, objects form to knock off others who haven't fallen yet. Here is the start: A closer look at one of the mongoose battles. Notice the subtle merging. After 30 seconds, these paths form to connect ghosts with mongooses. If you think ghosts can easily beat mongooses, then think again. You have to be tactical with mongooses to beat the ghost, and driving over to take one of the ghosts also helps. And the ultimate battle after a minute of knocking each other off. Warthogs appear here as well. There you have it. If you wish to download, go here. MonsterTrucksDLX And the game: Monster Trucks Thanks to the original Monster Trucks and a Tournament game that inspired my thought for this. Let me tell you here that some people thought this was the best monster trucks ever, and a couple thought it was the worst, but it's all a matter of opinion. Here is another DLX map if you want to try: Bull Dome DLX
again bravo this is a well forged map you took and something and remade it into something more fun I will for sure download
This looks like a great monster truck map, and I'm glad that you are trying to bring something new to the table with these maps, but I think that it would be a little boring if you got a spawn on an island with no one else. You would have to wait until the bridges connected you. (Yes, I read your post, but I usually play customs with 5 or 6 people). Also, the ghosts really seem like they could easily beat the mongooses, due to their boost, their ability to stop on a dime, and their larger size. Even if they are equal, having only mongooses and ghosts defeats the purpose of monster trucks. When I play, there is nothing more fun than hopping in a warthog and slamming into each other. So, overall, good job on originality, but I think that it was misplaced.
One of the problems was that there are only four warthogs. So if you do think that way, this map is probably not for you, but like I said earlier, it's all a matter of opinion.
OMG! I was just going to do this later on today! Mine would of looked a bit worse though. Now I have to think of a new idea About the map: It looks good, looks fun so I'm going to download. It looks a bit bumpy and maybe you can try to fix that. Like AItius said, I can't really see a mongoose winning against a ghost. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right, I just don't think it'll work. Overall good job on the map. 4.5/5.
If you start with a mongoose, it's best to lure the ghost to the edge. If the ghost player is too good to do that. I would drive over there and get on one of the ghosts.
I like the originality u brought to monster trucks because some older ones are really boring but on this map vehicles are kind of unfair because ghost are extremely over powered for mongooses. if u had ghosts and warthogs at start it would be more even since neither can really over power each other and then make choppers spawn later on to finish it off with power vehicles.
Some of the ones ive played are no where near as fun as this one looks. Merging looks extremely well done for a smooth ride, and im deffinatly bringing this one up next time i get a custom games party going.
Wow I never expected this map to come back to life. However, there can never be an equality among vehicles in this map. Ghosts and mongooses are the best way to go. Ghosts are honestly really hard to steer, and mongooses aren't powerful. I always try to lure the other person off the map when I have a mongoose, and it's pretty easy sometimes. Other times I feel like stealing a mongoose from the other side.
