    Monolith v2
    Created by Phantom Airwave/Dantheburger

    Supported Gametypes:
Team Slayer, Team King, Team Oddball, Territories (V2 Only)

    Map Description
This was my first posted map on Forge Hub and it's a 5v5/4v4 built on Sandbox. It's also sort of Vanilla Sandboxish. After the opinion I got on v1, I redid a v2, which I updated the original thread with, but no-one else looked at it I guess, so I reposted it, this time in the correct forum :D. I tried to use interlocking but I didn't think it a necessity. The Weapons on the map are as follows:
    12 Battle Rifles
    4 Smgs
2 Snipers (1 Spare Clip each)
    2 Maulers (No Spare Clips)
2 Needlers (1 Spare Clip Each)
1 Rocket Launcher (No Spare Clips, Longer Re-spawn)
    10 Plasma Grenades
    2 Plasma Pistols
    2 Warthogs
    2 Mongeese

Not Much else to say really.

Well, I'll download and give it a try. Two quick suggestions though:
    1. Don't use filters on a Competitive map. It will turn many people away from a download.
    2. Insert a overview picture so that everyone can see the full map instead of parts of it.
I'll be back soon with some feedback from a ForgeThru and some Custom Games.

Looks pretty fun and well-made. Usually, I would agree that filters are not ideal for competitive maps, but it works here. Your map looks better with the filter on. HOWEVER, I agree that you need an overview pic or two. But, nice work. :)

Alright I played a game or two and the problems I encountered are:
-The bases aren't really bases. They're more like a large piece of cover.
    -The teleporters are very campy.
-There are too many weapons on the monolith for balanced gameplay.
One team took control of the upper portion of the monolith and proceeded to camp with the two maulers at the teleporters. They used the Rockets (on the Monolith) and Sniper (easily accessible from the Monolith) and destroyed anyone who came near the base.

Gameplay-5/10. It was far too campy (maybe change the teleporters to Grav Lifts on instant respawn?), the vehicles didn't have any counters (maybe add a Power Drain at each base?), the bases didn't really work well (maybe add some insides to the bases?).
Aesthetics-7/10. Fairly good. The overall appeal of the map was good. The removal of the filter would improve this to a 9.5/10.
Overall- 6/10. It could use some work but the base model is good. A v3 could be excellent with the right work.

Sorry if this comes across as harsh or rude, I'm just trying to give you some suggestions on how to improve your map.

The red and blue ase look cool but the filter kinda ruins it in my opinion.

Other than that it looks good but an overview would be nice.

Okie. Thanks guys. I'll see if I can do V3 this afternoon. Your right about the teles. With most of my friends its not a problem, but in actual gameplay i imagine it is. I'll make sure the maulers have no extra ammo, but keep them there, as a direct way onto the platform might for each side would even it out. or maybe get rid of one of them and place the mauler underneath the rockets? Also, why are the Filters such a problem? They aren't extreme enough to stop players from seeing and have no influence on gameplay really. Anyway, expect to see it later.
