Map Title: The Woodchips Map Overveiw Download Map Download Gametype Description: The Basics This map is all about quikness and stability. Its kind of like stay on the swings but your less helpless. There are many pallets suspended in air (some more stable than others) and what you do is jump from pallet to pallet dodging the bullets of a, bruteshot wielding, zombie. If you happen to fall your chances of survival are slim but not none because there is a possibility that you make it up again by the grav lifts on the ground (dont worry the zombie has only so much gravity to get on the lowest pallet)The objective is to be the last man standing. The Everyman for themself factor. on some of the pallets there are items that can help you or can take out a team members pallet sacrificing him to the zombie.
Wow, good idea, though I haven't got a chance to download it yet. Screenshots look good :squirrel_chatting: :squirrel_jaffa:
Thanks the idea just kind of hit me. i was walking to the bathroom when i was like my forge senses are tingling
I usually love Mini Game maps and this one seems like no exception. I'm downloading now. It looks like a blast to play. So I guess the zombie has a brute shot. What do the humans start out with?
I forgot to mention that the thing is the zombies invincible and the objective is to be the last man HUGE DETAIL i forgot sorry guys not on top of my game today (im a nub to forge hub) i just fixed it so now it reflects that the objective is not to kill the zombie but to stay away from him And as for your question assualt rifle
I really like this concept--from what it looks like in the screenshots it's also put together well (that's a big plus). You've made a map in the same class as Hobo Heights, but players are affecting each others' survival in this one. The pallets look well-anchored with weapon holders, which is very necessary. You said the zombie has the ability to use the grav lifts; make sure to give the zombie 200% gravity so he stays well anchored to the floor. Is it possible to position the grav lifts in the corners, so the zombie has the entire, uninterrupted floor to navigate? Try placing the grav lifts on something like a crate (at 100% gravity players can jump onto it, but at 200% the zombies can't). Obviously, make the crate or any non-stationary object instantly spawn. If not, try floating man cannons above the height of the zombie's jump. Make sure the amount of weaponry doesn't exceed the map's size and/or playability limits. Close range, powerful weapons (like a bruteshot) would be great for knocking players off the wood chips. From the pictures, it looks like the pallets can fall pretty easily. If you make the pallets instantly respawn, it will still be possible for the players to fall, but you won't compromise the main objective of the map, which is to knock the other team's players off the wood chips. Do players that are killed by other players respawn on the wood chips? If you give players invulnerable shields, the objective (to knock them off the woodchips) will be clearer, and you wouldn't have to have the players respawn on the woodchips. If you change the zombie's damage modifier to instant kill, and his primary or secondary weapon to an energy sword, he can make it hard for players that fall to get away. Your idea is great, have fun perfecting it!
Dude alll the stuff you mentioned would help my map toatally, some stuff i have and some i dont ill realese a V2 soon Well when i was editing the map i noticed that the the 200 gravity zombies still get picked up on the greav lift even though its on top of a crate the grav lift corner idea worked and im working on the game thank you
