My cousin who is 20 something bought this game and announced on facebook that he is already level 50. As for modern warfare in general, the only reason id buy it is to play the multiplayer so id have the challenge of constantly unlocking and levelling up. Although battlefield does have a lot of unlocks to get as well so i think ill just stick to that.
I commented this on a review I read, I'm such a fanboy idiot LOOOOOOOOOOOL That review gave this game a 9. The same site gave BF3 an 8, Halo Reach an 8, and Black Ops a 9. The reviewer also brought this up. Direct your attention to the bolded. I'm willing to bet that any person on this site can do a mental walkthrough of any Halo level from any Halo, or at least the last few. I know I can. inb4
This. I rented Battlefield a few days ago and am addicted to it. I have for the rest of the month and don't want to give it back. I think I'm done with CoD. Battlefield FTW!!
The only reason I like this game (I haven't even played it) is because a friend of mine has, in the last two months, bought Forza 4, Battlefield 3, Rocksmith, MW3 and Skyrim and the Old Republic are pre-ordered. The reason I like this game (again, I haven't played it) is because when the new one in that list comes out, I borrow the last one from him. MW3 is the newest so I get to borrow Battlefield 3 and Rocksmith from him now. I haven't bought a game this year since DE:HR but have played all the great ones this year. It's terrific.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 review, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Xbox 360 Reviews | GamesRadar Rocksmith? Really?
I just found something out when I was on The Flood. Figured I'd post it here so you guys can think about it. I'm pretty sure I'm right.
I love you and want to have your babies.. Also add me since ur playing it got another month atleast. Also i wanted to know what you guys think of the MW3 Maps. To me if the gameplay is the same(which it is) it all comes down to the map and how they play. So thoughts? I already got some early complains about bad map designs and headglitch spots galor (no one likes those)
the Type 95 only takes 2 bullets to kill someone and it's a 3 round burst weapon. That's a little irritating. I got golden Camo on my Spaz, but after going through that hell I realized one thing. Pump Action shotguns don't work well in this game unless you have 100% accuracy and lightning quick reflexes. sooo I'll probably do the Striker next prestige.
OK, so all of you guys who bought this: I've been reading reviews everywhere to decide if I want to get this game, and I can't trust them at all. Professional review sites are getting unreliable as hell in my opinion because they never give a bad rating to a major studio game. I usually sift through user reviews on sites like Amazon, but this game has the most polarized reviews I've ever read - they're all 5 stars or 1 star, and smack badly of COD fanboys pumping the new game up vs. Battlefield fanboys dragging it down. Here's what I want to know: 1. Don't play multiplayer, don't give a ****. At most I'll play it on splitscreen with some friends a few times, so if it's vaguely in line with previous multiplayers, it's fine. 2. Spec ops. I loved this mode in MW2 and played through the whole thing with three different friends. Is it as robust in this game? Are there plenty of co-op missions like the helicopter and AC-130 escort missions, the snowmobile race, the two sniper levels, the favela juggernaut match, etc.? If there are many of these missions and they are good and challenging, that is a big plus for me. I specifically didn't buy Black Ops because I didn't like or care about the zombies mode. 3. Single player. Is it entertaining and semi-challenging with some memorable setpieces? I don't especially care if it's very linear (I'll only be playing it once or twice) or ridiculously over-the-top, I just want some fun Modern Warfare type levels that will give me an adrenaline rush at least the first time through. 4. Graphics/engine stuff - don't care. However, if this game shows its age as badly as people say, I might wait until the price comes down on it or until I can get a used one for less.
1. Multiplayer is awesome. 2. The Special Ops missions are better than the ones from MW2 and are generally more replayable, in my opinion. The addition of survival will surely keep people hooked for a long time. 3. Haven't tried it yet. 4. The graphics are the same as MW2, and I think they look more than fine.
Every game I buy on the first day I do a run through two hours of campaign on regular. While the battles were incredibly fun and definitely worth playing again (although as usuall I probably won't finish campaign until next summer) I regretted not turning I up to hardened because ended up running through it pretty quickly and only dying about once every three missions. The some of the stuff was over the top like the helicopter vs helicopter battles and the customary spectre mission so even though it lacked a bit in the story I was continuously engaged. I can't wait to play multiplayer and spec ops which are really what I bought the game for.
i havent pulled out a pistol sidearm once ahah i think i got a kill with the revolver once maybe... i have been using the **** out of the FMG-9 though, but thats a machine pistol. [br][/br]Edited by merge: NO. barrett. going all mw2 on bitches. My favorite class of mine is becoming my spas-12/throwing knife class (again, going all mw2 on bitches). god damn is nothing more fun than making people eat my spas. like twice now ive spas'd and throwing knifed dudes one after another, feels good man.
Are you serious? CoD is the same thing every year, just with new weapons and a different timeline. BF actually updated their engine to give a fresh experience to the player. I am planning on renting MW3 on Monday, though BF3 is gonna be the one I'll end up buying.
True, but I am just not enjoying BF for some reason, and CoD always seems to give me a couple months of fun.
