This is a map i created with some help from Swift One5. **EDIT**http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=63633570**EDIT** Its based on the current MLG maps but with some differences. I made it for either MLG CTF or MLG TS. The max size i would reccommend is 8. 4v4. The map itself is made to be simple with a few tricks here and there. I made it to not be biased towards any team at the start. So two team members get spawned one side of their flag and two the other. The layout is such that spawn killing is harder but with a good setup can happen. In it there are two spawn areas that become active when the flag has been taken although through some trails they dont work if the enemy is placed near or in them. Below are some screenshots and annotations. Ive put alot of effort in so there is alot of detail in the annotation to read. I would like peoples real opinions on this map and how well they think it works with spawns, flag runs, slayer ETC. What i already know is that it is simple and not much inlocking has happened. That is so because i dont want it to look messy or overdone. This is a view from Top Purple overlooking B (Red) flag This is a view from Top Purple overlooking A (Blue) flag. This is a view from Top Purple looking down the bridge. The main purpose for the Purple Bridge was to provide cover for flag caps and also to help stop flag caps. It provides an arieal view of the entire map but at the same time is open to attack from a quick jump. This is a view from Top Gold. It isnt this high it was the only way to get a decent picture. The corner wall you see if front of you is the roof of the "House" More on that later. This is a slieghtly elavated view of where two members from the red team spawn. In front is a barrier to help stop spawn killing from "Gold Bridge" aswell as giving protection from the initail spawn. This is the same view as the screen shot above except from the Blue spawn and shows the different types of protection aswell as the ways to be effective in spawn killing to cover flag caps. These two screen shots show the B (Red) and A (Blue) flags and the various ways of getting to the flag. Next two them both are two boxes which are linked into each other to allow people to jump up to Purple Ramps. This is an elevated view from A corner showing Top Purple and Gold bridge. This is under the Gold Bridge in which there is a mauler placed. These two pictures show Mid Purple and how they are accessed. The main thought behind placing a middle section in here was to provide a quick jump up to Top Purple via two doors which in turn may gain an advantage over someone staying up on top for cover. These are the two doors you jump onto. For ease of use there is no need to do anything but turn your body whilst jumping because the way the wall slants means it pushes you onto the Top Purple Bridge. This is a close up of the "House". It was made in mind of people wanting to try and spawn kill whilst also making the map look fuller. This is a view of the bottom of purple. It not only allows access through the middle of the two boxes but also behind them giving cover to those dropping from Top Purple.
Very nice. Looks like 3.5/5 until I dl and play. You should just make it a little neater though. Try interlocking and geomerging.
meh, really messy.Please read the MLG map rules before posting.Your map has to fill a few requirements before its considered MLG.I give it a 2/5. No offense.
I really like the style of the map but like the people before me have said,its kind of messy.But still a very good map,so next time you post a mlg map,just try and organize your objects just a little better.i give it a 3/5
He did. You can see in almost all of his pictures that there are several interlocked structures. OP: For an MLG map this looks somewhat sloppy. I would try to go through and make sure everything is perfect. I know it's hard to do, but in the end it will pay off.
Looks pretty decent to my standards, a few things you could work on is trying harder to make it symmetrical. It's pretty hard to me which is why I'll never make an MLG map, also I see you know how to interlock so maybe use it in more places such as the bridges and boxes down the middle. Last but not least, just clean up the map a bit. Little things like flipping the bridges and interlocking boxes just a bit to get rid of a bump can really add up and make your map a lot better and more fun to play. If you made a V2 of this I think it would turn out really good.
Looks pretty terrible, to be honest. Sloppy geomerging, terrible bases, etc. You didn't even color the different parts of the map. 1/5 because technically this is a map.
