    No Man's Land

    That's right. MLG-style infection.

Truthfully, I didn't know where to post this. Sure infection is usually casual, but this one is extremely different from the rest. Believe it or not, I was capable of making an MLG-based infection, and, since it is MLG, its pretty competitive.

EDIT: I am currently working on making all MLG maps this gametype-compatible; expect them to be on-sight soon.

So you're wonderin: "How does this work?"
    Well here's a quick overview:
    Zombie Stats

    • The Zombies have 50% of normal health, to give it the "zombies are weak" feel, as well as them being 2-shotable
    • Zombies move at 100% speed
    • Zombies start with a Battle Rifle and can pick up other weapons, provided that they can get to them.
    Human Stats

    • The victims have all the normal stats: 100% speed, health, etc.
    • The Last Man Standing does 110% damage
    Scoring:

    • Kill a zombie: 1 pt
    • Infect a Human: 2 pts
    • Last Man Standing Bonus: 1 pt
The reason I did all this is simple: The Zombie pretty much has to out BR the humans or sneak up on them and get the first, or else they'll die due to their low health. Being a zombie actually takes a credible amount of skill; its not easy to have half the health of the others. This creates an awesome MLG vibe, really based of BR battles and sniping. Believe it or not, MLG can have zombies too!

    Here's a basic item list:

    • 2 snipers
    • 2 maulers
    • 8 Battle Rifles
    • 1 rocket
    • 4 plasma grenades
The map I made with this isn't perfect. I just needed a test map to see if it would work out, because I'm not really sure how to balance the MLG zombies and humans yet. So PLEASE give me feedback on things to change to make it more equal and I will definetly come out with a v2 in a week or two at the latest. If anybody from the Tester's Guild is reading this, let me know if you want to help me test this out. Thanks!

The Map is pretty simple: there's a human base, which the zombies are supposed to breach and kill the the humans. The center of the map is, well, no man's land. Its basically a bunch of random cover that makes it easy for zombies to come up behind you and out BR you. You'll be embarrased once or twice. You'd be suprised how much this helps your BR though :D

Oh yeah - an MLG infected.

    Enjoy!

It is an interesting concept-zombies in MLG. I can see how this works out, but the map itself-it's not so good. The gametype is brilliant though. I want that second map to come out plz. We could also use this for other MLG maps though, can't we?

Yeah, you can, but you'd probably have to customize the respawns so that it makes it a little more fair for the Humans (Zombies will end up just spawning right behind them).

That's actually what I'm gonna do right now. I'm gonna take all the standard MLG maps and customize 'em for this, thanks for the pointer!

And yeah I know this map isn't too hot, I'm working on a larger project for it in sandbox right now as well.

    Thanks for the feedback

If anyone wants to help on a V2 lemme know!

Great idea for a Gametype, I will def download it. But the map isn't so great. This could be fun on a current MLG map with zombie spawns.

The map's aesthetics aren't great, but it actually fits the gametype pretty well. Play it first and you'll see what I mean. Thanks for the feedback. Laxer, wanna help me test this map?
